Who do you think wins and why?

I think this will be a very tough game for John Hardin. I am not sure what Shelby County has coming back, but looking at their scores it is obvious they will score points next Friday. The only way I think JH wins is to outscore Shelby County. I am not sure they will be able to do that.

I have no doubt that you have so much more football knowledge than I do. And the reason I am sure of that-- cuz you post it all the time. I am sure you have offered and continue to offer the knowledge to the John staff in your spare time.

Hoss Shelby has everyone back except for Manica and Perry. QB and other skill returns. New Fullback has turned into a stud. D plays as a group.

Shelby can score and has been playing pretty solid last part of season.

They seem like they are a very good team and I honestly think they will beat JH next week. Honestly, no shame in that from the scores I have seen from them. How did Collins keep the game close? I was quite impressed with Collins when they played Central Hardin.

Hoss I saw the Collins score also. A little surprised by that. I think if we can keep it close, we got a shot at the end. It does worry me a little that the RB from Spencer was able to find holes to run through last week.

I am not sure what Shelby brings to the table except that their defense was the key to their win last year in Radcliff. They will put pressure on the JH offense again this year.

 

Spencer's rb has had good games against teams all year so that wasn't surprising to me.

 

JH Qb play has been the key for their success. He is playing really well right now

BOTH 23 and 11 for Spencer ran the fastest 40 times at the U.K. Senior Day camp this summer of all attendees there; 4.61 laser timed.

 

They must continue to improve up front on both sides as the weeks move on (as is the case for all hoping to advance in the coming weeks), but I just wanted to point out that the speed/acceleration at which the guys from Spencer were going in hitting those holes wasn't exactly slow motion.

Great point about the speed, but I was leaning more to the point of there were consistent open holes to run through. 23 is a stud, had a really good game. If we can slow down Shelbys run game and keep it close I think we got a shot

Don't know who to pull for here. I grew up n Shelby County and have friends on JH staff.. JH will score some but can they stop the option that Shelby County is known for.. How good is the Rockets throwing game?

Shelby turned it over twice themselves. Shelby just couldn't get the ball in the endzone. Collins would go 6/5 goal line and Shelby just couldn't do it. Took opening drive of 3rd for 7 minutes and just came up empty. Had a missed FG into a strong wind and short one blocked. With all that being said, they still put 24 on the board. Thing about Shelby and Collins, they know each other so much. So many adjustments to be made during these games. Wind was a factor for Shelby and the passing game was under par this week. QB thru only his 2nd INT for the year. Shelby doesn't throw it a lot but it is very efficient when doing so.
