Absolutely correct, with all the talk about the Pulaski schools getting field turf over the summer, I forgot that they weren't able to get the turf.

LC has played 9 games on turf............Last game on grass was a clunker...........Easy to say field wont matter..........I think it could be a factor:popcorn:

Good game by the knights. The 4th down stop on GC 2nd drive was big, but the score at the end of the 1st half was the nail in the coffin. Obviously LC air attack overwhelmed Garrard, but their defense vs the run will have to improve if they are to advance any further.

No chirping on this thread..............That's the way it should be........Just plane football!

1a-Russellville, 2a-LLoyd, 3a-Garrard, 4a-John Hardin, 5a-Fern Creek, 6a- Cooper are all teams flying under the radar who possibly could bust some brackets so to speak.

I expect the Ads to win handily each of the next 2 weeks (if they stay healthy).

No 3A school can say they have been more successful than Central since Scroggins took over in 2007. 6 Title appearances, 5 Titles, 7 Semis. That doesn't mean Boyle wont win............But you have to give props to this program

I somewhat agree. I could go on a crazy tirade about todays students, parents, teachers, administrators etc.............but lets just say............the 1st half of the school year goes much better, when you have a good football season.:popcorn:

The extra games are not bringing in much money. The khsaa does not make anything much unless Trinity and X play in finals.

Its all about the money. The KHSAA will profit between 1.2 to 1.5 million per year off the sweet sixteen. All the other sports combined wont bring in 50K to 100k. (probably lose money). Football is probably the only sport other than girls basketball that adds any money to the khsaa wallet. Still the 6A system for football was actually a compromise concocted by the khsaa after khsaa school membership voted to separate public and private schools. That and the possibility that ST X and Trinity could possibly play each other in certain calendar years (and bring money in to khsaa wallet) are why we have a 6 class system.

Lex Cath scored 3 times in their first 7 plays. Garrard then goes on a 15 play drive scores and gets the 2 pt conversion. Lex Cath gets the ball and on the 1st play the ball is tipped by rec and intercepted. Then Garrard runs about 10 more plays and fumbles at the 1. The half is basically over. Then Garrard gets the ball to start the the 3rd.................Its hard to keep your foot on the pedal..............when you don't have the ball.

Good win for the ADS. They appear to be on a collision course with either New Cath or LLoyd. Just need to stay healthy

If I had made a preseason guess at this game, I would have thought this score would be about right. Garrard has had some really strange things happen this year that have been out of the control of all involved. Maybe things are beginning to settle down. If so, they could be a thorn in someones side in a couple weeks.

This was a good win. Anytime you come off a tough loss, there is a chance of some mental and/ or physical let down. This team knows nothing but focus. A little hit to the psyche will be worked out in short order. Just need to get completely healthy

Lets see. Work with kids ages approx 14 to 17. Work with quite a few dysfunctional people (mostly adults). Teach school, mentor other adolescents (as well as players). Have people who think they know more than you scream at you at games and get on social media and bash you. HOT SEAT........ Least of a coaches concern :popcorn:

Wasnt saying Boyle wouldnt stop Garrard. Simply saying neither team is balanced offensively. Not aggravated at all. I just think its funny that the only time your not considered balanced offensively is when you run more compared to passing more.

From the sounds of things Garrard should just forfeit and spare themselves from the agony of taking on the task of what is the most dominant entity in 3A football...................... Or maybe they should just go play and let the chips fall where they may. Garrard has no balance in their ground and pound offense while running for 90% of their yardage. Of course Boyle has much better balance, even though prior to their game with Lincoln approx 70% of their yardage is thru the air...........I dont think the balanced offense approach really matters to either team.

3A is just full of teams 6 thru 15 that could be ranked. Pull it out of a hat and you can make a decent argument for whatever you pull out. Overall a tough out on any given night.

Ho Hum............methodical..........ugly...........lots of defense.............lots of runnig the ball...........lots of illness........lots of injuries.......Yet Garrard has found a way to win 3 games. In fact, they could be 4-0 after losing late to an undefeated Shelby County team who has whitewashed all their other opponents. While, I dont see them as a real threat in 3A, they have a better team than some may think. The win over Mad Southern looks a little better after this week thats for sure.

Ive seen 3 games. If you want to watch a guy compete on every single play.............Keep your eyes on mr competitor Josiah Robbins. Extremely fun to watch

These mite sized ADS are playing very Fast and very hard. Hats off to this group.

Maybe the team you saw them play was a little better than you thought.
