I've had a few discussions this week about teams on the outside of the top 10 in Class 3A. The question is two-fold:

 

1) How would you rank the best five teams outside the top ten in Class 3A?

2) Which, if any, of these teams have a realistic shot of winning at least one and maybe more playoff games this season?

 

As a refresher, here is this week's top ten: 1. Boyle County, 2. Belfry, 3. Central, 4. Lexington Catholic, 5. Caldwell County, 6. Paducah Tilghman, 7. Elizabethtown, 8. Russell, 9. Corbin, 10. Bell County

I think Garrard is still being punished for losing to what is turning out to look like a really good Shelby County team. They soundly beat a Madison Southern team that whipped Bourbon last week. The Lions haven't played very well, honestly, but I think they should be right at the door.

3A is just full of teams 6 thru 15 that could be ranked. Pull it out of a hat and you can make a decent argument for whatever you pull out. Overall a tough out on any given night.
