This one looks to be the marquee matchup of the 2nd round of the 3A playoffs. What are your thoughts?

After last night Central lost some of the mystique they had.

 

Common opponents:

 

Boyle County defeats Waggener 42-14. Central defeats Waggener 21-6.

 

Boyle County defeats Western Hills 52-20. Central defeats Western Hills 21-6.

 

Central definitely has had a tougher schedule than Boyle County and should be more prepared when they meet on Friday. It doesn't mean they will win.

Never compare scores when looking at Central. You will be turning your equipment in on Monday with that thinking.

Central Hardin, Bell County, Danville aren't nobodies they aren't St X or some of the other Louisville schools but to say they are nobody isn't warranted.Lex Cath started the season mediocre but they're clicking now and they aren't nobody either. Boyle tried to make a tougher schedule but some of the teams didn't turn out to be as good as expected.

 

My heart wants Boyle to win and hopes Boyle wins but my brain tells me Central pulls this one off in a close one. Central 28 Boyle 24.

I'd give that honor to the St. X/Trinity game, but this one isn't far behind. Should be a fantastic night of football.

Though, I get where you're coming from. That Knox Central loss is puzzling. So long as Central plays like they did against St. X and PRP I see them winning, but if they don't Boyle will put them away with a two score margin.

Stadium is very nice. Their field, however, will likely be in very bad shape.

How do you gauge the teams before they play?

 

I think Central is easily the favorite and I hope Boyle pulls it off.

Boyle by 10. Should be a good game and a different outcome wouldn't surprise me.
