  1. This team is certainly not messing around...........just ballin.......very impressive
  2. Not funny, try walking with your toes sticking out of your mouth...............
  3. Ate crow, then I ate both feet, just finished my hat.............congrats to HC
  4. I didnt see all the aforementioned teams here play last year but I did see Boyle, Danville,Garrard, and Lincoln. I dont know what you saw, but Garrard would have been a very formiddable opponent for Boyle last year. Maybe, you know something I dont, but that bunch looked pretty good when I saw them.
  5. Just an observation over time, but I thought basketball officiating was better when they had 2-man crews.
  6. Once again "Defensive Presence" is overlooked. Colton Elkins is certainly all region in the 12th. Its amazing ,Anthony Davis (and by no means is this kid like the #1 draft pick other than the roll he plays) hits 1 shot in the championship game and he is the MOP, is 4th on his team in shot attempts and he is the consensus player of the year ,and yet in the 12th region coaches still cant recognize the importance of a rim protector......wow
  7. ETOWN Invitational is now in progress.............Good learning experience for Mercer.............Etown's definition of loaded is.............Uconnesque this year
  8. MUCH different animal on Friday. Good Luck is right
  9. Springate led Boyle to state 2ce didnt he?. Did the Stroud kid play D1?
  10. Talking about 2 schools with recent history as well as overall dislike for each other Lex Cath vs Boyle in 1st round................HELLO
  11. Host schools in boys 12th region are now 1-10. So much for home court advantage.
  12. This game is all about composure (IMO). Boyle appears to be the more athletic team overall. Lincoln appears to be the more skilled team overall. If both teams play to their strengths it will be a crazy good game. In the 1st 3 matchups, that really has not happened.
  13. HC (girls) and NC (boys) were much the best this year in class A tourney. They did nothing to tarnish the tourney at all. I did notice that a couple schools did not compete in the event this year like BTOWN in the boys (enrollment may have been factor idk). I do think that some schools have not played in various class A events in the past due to looking at bigger prize. I for one, think that if a school is not careful you can put so much emphasis on class A that there is a let down after the tourney. Still, the class A is a very unique and great experience for alot of kids.
  14. If Etown plays well they are.............elite. Ashland is much better than their ranking above. (Top heavy cannot begin to illustrate the best way to describe this tourney). Watching the top bracket games alone would make for a good fix for bball junkies.
  15. Soccer and baseball produce more suspensions of players and fans than all the other sports combined (all schools) thru the khsaa.
  16. Now that is a scary score.
  17. What is scary is winner having to play ETOWN in state tourney
  18. You could argue that Boyle has been sleep walking since beating the Pats at Boyle. Maybe this loss wakes up this team and becomes a motivating mechanism. Otherwise maybe it puts them to sleep permanently for this season. Sunday is March 1. Let the Madness begin:popcorn:
  19. 15th called region last year.......Not great, just unknown
  20. One word to describe Lincoln on this night......................METHODICAL.......................:popcorn:
  21. I dont disagree, but I do think Josie is essential in the role he is filling. He would be a quality starter as well, but it sure is nice to have a guy who can swing a game coming off the bench.
  22. Danville played very confidently in this game. One would have thought that they would have folded when Boyle made that run early in the second quarter. Instead they steadied themselves and had a very good chance of winning this one. Two of my favorite coaches over the years are Ed McKinney and ex Rebel coach Ronnie Bottoms. I think both of those guys are classy and in their own unique ways extremely intense.
  23. I agree with alot of this.............but............we are a huge minority:popcorn:
  24. Does it really matter?
  25. The art of feeding the post is no where to be found in todays game at all levels. Feeding the post today is either a lob off of a drive or a jump shot that misses. If bigs cant face up and drive then they are used as screeners, rebounders and rim protectors.
