I believe he is the first ever D1 basketball player from Boyle. At least all the Boyle people I asked couldn't name any others.

Just guessing if your the 1st D-1 player from a school, I`d say it is safe to say he is the best all time..

Spencer Perrin is probably the best player to come out of Boyle. Only player to play professionally from that area that I know of. Hard to argue against that. Perrin, from what I saw of him, was not the shooter that Tyler is now. Tyler could be argued to be one of the best shooters to come from the school.

Yes, Perrin could not shoot the ball 1/10 of the way Tyler does, but Perrin was an out of the world leaper. Two great players.

Spencir Perrin only played one or 2 seasons for Boyle so I wouldn't consider him in the conversation . He was a very good player Tho and could jump out of the gYm. I'll never forget when he caught one off the rim and in mid air reversed it over 2 people. Yes I am biased of course but I think Hagen is the best player to ever come thru Boyle Co With Derek Springate a close second. Maybe 1a and 1b. Guess Im biased both ways bc I played with Springate. The things he could do on the court were just crazy. He use to just drive other teams crazy and was about 5'11" and couldn't jump over a book.

If memory serves Craig Smith signed and went to Morehead in '81. I think he only played one or two seasons.

I don't know much about school, someone posted they thought he was the 1st d 1 player , so I went with it... I`m guessing if I don't know much about the thread , I shouldn't post. It sounds like 3 or4 have played D-1 .

Tyler is definitely the best player to come through Boyle. Has to be in the conversation ever for best player in 12th Region history. And, after making those 2 free throws to win against Lincoln County, probably need to look at him as the one of the most clutch players ever in the state. I could go on and on about how great this kid is.
