The draw begins in a few minutes. The 12th Region appears top heavy but it should be a fun tournament nonetheless.

No 2 seed will want to see Mercer County, Southwestern or Lincoln County.

The toughest 2 seeds are probably East Jessamine and Boyle County. Both are very solid teams. Somerset and Wayne County are the other two 2 seeds and I don't know anything anout either of two teams.

Southwestern/East Jessamine-Monday at 6:00

 

Pulaski County/Boyle County-Monday at 7:30

 

Mercer County/Wayne County-Tuesday at 6:00

 

Lincoln County/Somerset-Tuesday at 7:30

I just cannot see anybody beating Mercer. I know that when you get into the Regional Tournament anything can happen. But this is Mercer's Tournament to lose.

Southwestern, Mercer, and Lincoln should all advance comfortably in the first round. I think Boyle should beat Pulaski but it's on Pulaski's home floor, which could be tough.

 

I'll take Mercer over Southwestern in the finals.

Mercer knocked the socks off of East Jessamine in the 46th district championship. Played like I haven't seen them play this year, and I've seen them play a handful of times.

 

Also think it's Mercer's tournament to lose. Too deep, too talented. Scary that they're so young.
