Do you guys realize that the only team in this area to play in a state title game in the last 4 years is.................Mercer County in the sport of baseball (2ce). Lets keep it real. We are very good, but we havent arrived.

JMO Josie doesnt start because he is mature enough to handle being the 6th man. Kid is a true competitor in every since of the word. If you recall he was in the same roll last year until tourney time. Its nice to have a commodity like that coming off the bench.

Im partial to 1981 tourney. Troy McKinley and Simon Kenton vs Feldhouse and Mason County. At the time the championship game was largest crowd in history for hs basketball championship

Is it just me or was this game played in mid jan? Part 2 might really get crazy in late jan. And then again it will be absurd in late Feb. And then heaven forbid if they get to do it again in early march. This thread will not be leaving anytime soon.:scared:

From what I have seen from Boyle, Elkins is not really an option on offense. He has got to relish cleaning up missed shots and from what I am seeing he is strugglin to find his niche offensively. He should be getting 8 to 10 points/game off the off boards alone. The "big fella"is w/o question the guy who will determine how far Boyle gets this year.

I am assuming the 3 pt shot kept danville hanging around for 3 qtrs.

Danville is not very big and will have trouble defending. They will try to offset that with the 3-ball. Layups-threes-and free throws. If they are hitting threes they could hang around. If not, then it is good night sweet prince.

Mercer beat Danville by 10 (73-63). But, I do agree that Mercer is the better team in the 12th at this point.

The 12th has some good basketball teams. I am still not convinced they can hold up against the better teams overall in the state.
