Believe it or not, it was 44-41 as the 3rd quarter was coming to a close. Jeremiah Bell nailed a 50-footer at the buzzer to put Boyle up 47-41. Danville didn't score again until 2:22 of the 4th quarter.

Yes. That is correct. It was 32-24 Boyle at the half and they made 6 three pointers in the first half. Five in the second quarter.

 

In the third quarter Boyle was sloppy and Danville used some timely threes to keep it close. Got it down to 44-41 and then Jeremiah Bell hit the halfcourt shot exactly at the buzzer to make it 47-41 Boyle after 3.

 

Then the run started. Boom.

If Danville can shoot like they did for the first 3 quarters, they can compete with ANYBODY in the 12th. And if Boyle can play like they did in the 4th quarter, they will be HARD to beat.

 

With that said this game is always close (for the most part). Records don't matter, ratings don't mean a thing, location doesn't mean a thing. Boyle is obviously the better team and imposed their will in the 4th quarter. But kudos to Ed McKinney and Danville, they hung around with a team that on paper they had no chance against. I'm excited for tourney time, the 12th will be a blast!!
