Boyle County 52 Western Hills 20

Featured Replies

Good win for Boyle but I thought they played very flat tonight not much emotion on either side of the ball.

Pretty ho hum effort by the Rebels tonight. Western Hills executed an impressive 85 yard drive in the first half I would have never thought possible against Boyle. Western Hills has zero depth and those guys were ready to call it quits early on in the second half. I hope Boyle can find itself again with Dunbar next week before heading into the playoffs.

Will Boyle be playing to win next week or will the starters get a half of football in and then get some rest and recovery time?

Can a Mod correct the score for me. It was 52-20. My apologies.

I don't see it......not Chuck's style.

Boyle is gonna play to win

Starters only rest if they put up a running clock. They still have a lot to work on. The passing game has been out of sorts the past couple weeks and they need to have the o-line gain more confidence in their run blocking abilities. They've done well the past 2 games but more game experience before the playoffs can only help. I wish Dunbar wasn't such a running team because I think Lex Cath made it apparent that our pass defense needs some... a lot of attention.

They'll play to win, but Dunbar has been very solid defensively the last six weeks, allowing only 10.8 points per game. Their problem is they can't score, which is why they are 3-6.

Soul searching week for Boyle more than anything else. Does this team want to make a deep run into state or are they complacent with what they have? Last night won't get them past Central, let alone compete with them. A season full of first half's and done, they should be fine with the exception of Josey's ankles. Finish off Dunbar and go to work for the playoffs.

This was a good win. Anytime you come off a tough loss, there is a chance of some mental and/ or physical let down. This team knows nothing but focus. A little hit to the psyche will be worked out in short order. Just need to get completely healthy

How did Josey get hurt?

Turned both ankles in practice before the Lex. Cath. game.

Thanks, that's what I was told before the game started and was also told that we had one of our best lineman out against LC because he got hurt in practice I think it was Shelton.

Yes. Shelton did miss the LC game with an injured foot.
