Brian Uhlbreit (sp?) would be a great coach. Played for Dale. Played in college. Has coached 7th and 8th in the FTJFL for years and years. The kids like him. Just a fantasy.

It will be fun to see Beau touch the ball every offensive play next year. He has a rocket arm and likes to run the ball. He should give defensive coordinators fits next year. HHS will have a lot of offensive options with Beau at QB.

5-3 against the run. 3 man fronts don't work against good running teams.

Graduated 11 or 12 seniors on the o-line. Kyler Dalton will be the only o-lineman with any real varsity experience.

I'm highly partial to the 1980's. The defense was incredible.

Very impressed with the toughness covcath showed last night. covcath came to play and made a good game of it. Congratulations on a good year despite the many injuries. As far as the jawing, it is a high emotion game played by emotional young men that have not fully matured yet mentally. Saw a throat slash sign by one team and jawing at the other team by the other team. It's HHS vs covcath. It's the game of the year for both teams. You are going to get what you got on the field. However, after the game they shook hands and patted each other on the back like men.

covcath stopped JC offense by putting 8-9-10 in the box. Despite this JC was still running the ball. Highlands will have a balanced attack, throw the ball around, put up many scores, and go home. Score: 42-14.

Glad to see covcath is healthy. Does this mean they won't cancel on HHS. Sorry. I couldn't help myself.

Hope to see covcath win. Always good to see the Birds play covcath.

This thread has become quite distracted. Obvious that the original issue is not being addressed. I'm not sure how this thread turned into a discussion about the number of schools in BC. I guess any way to avoid the real issue is beneficial. Time to shut it down.

I just can't believe that covcath would walk away....twice. That program is supposed to be better than that. I don't know the reason here, but I do know there are very few valid reasons to cancel and not allow the boys to compete.

I hope they schedule another game. However, getting a game on such short notice will be tough.

I wonder what the covcath faithful think of this.

No matter what the reason, it is very disappointing that HHS will not get to play this week, especially against CovCath. Last year at the freshman level, HHS lost its quarterback, middle linebacker, and running back for multiple games in the middle of the season. No games cancelled. I know freshman is not JV, but you just don't cancel a game.

The birds played a much better game tonight than last week against Beechwood. Last week I was shocked by the apparent lack of enthusiasm. They looked flat. Tonight they were more aggressive and made a number of personnel changes that were significant. Having Dale on the sideline probably helped the motivation factor also. Sorry to see Jared was not playing by the time I got there at halftime. Both teams played hard and it was tight to the end.

Final from Fort Thomas. Highlands dominated from start to finish. LexCath only brought 30-32 players and could not keep up with the numbers.

Last week I finally realized there is an ignore option. I used it for certain posters that post constantly and have nothing to say. I like BGP much more now. I highly recommend it.

Got to the game right before half. The score as 30-14 BW. HHS scored with about a minute before halftime on a long run from #35. 30-20 at half. After half time, both teams traded running TDS and BW put a few more on HHS. It was 30-27 at one time and HHS had the MO. Neither team did much passing. Each had a few long runs. Toward the end of the game BW ran the ball between the tackles with very good effect. BWs defense was better than HHS but I would rate both as below average. Sorry this is not much of a recap.

Speaking "sociologically," it seems strange you are working the public vs private school angle - like Colerain is some sort of victim that needs support. Anyway.... I root for KY teams against other states, NKY teams against the rest of KY, and Cincy teams against the rest of the nation.

He was on a roll there for a few weeks (i.e. Harris would be a good back up to the NC running backs ... ...... and NC would only lose to Highlands by two touchdowns). Seems to have quieted lately. For that, I do have to give it up to him.

I also cannot remember who scored, but I do believe there was another TD pass from Hergott to Miller. Highlight of the game for me was the missed 54 yd field goal. Had plenty of leg, but just wide right. Jared Doughtery will be kicking on Saturdays in a few years.

Ok. We understand HHS lost. Greatest day in SK sports history. Does anyone actually have any information on the game?
