Have the frosh Birds lost 3 of 4?

That's because we cheat...you know that! Just got caught this time!

Great job by the baby birds. Must be getting better. It's just a matter of time. Just takes some classes longer to "hatch" than others!

So either a great game or sloppy with very little offense. Wasn't there, so can't comment on that. Did hear HHS running back went out. I guess evens it up with CCH QB out. Heard he was dressed though. Good to see game close and competitive. On to next week.

Birds D spends way to much time on the field. The offense needs to get a little more creative..They run the same plays over and over and over again..

Yeah but they still would have had to nail the two pointer to tie...

Very good game- probably a little Karma with the last hold as the CCH nose was getting held all night.

Highlands basically lined up and ran power football off tackle all night and were fairly succesfull with it.

CCH offense was hit and miss. Dropped a sure fire TD in the end zone. Probably should have been 21-6 or 21-13 at worst. Angel was a stud catching the ball. Tony Hentz has done an admirable job in his role- threw some ill advised balls tonight, but had some very nice tosses as well. Not too many teams can role out their back up QB and go 4-0. Nice luxury to have. Having said that, this team will take it to another level offensively with CVH.

Defensively both teams were laying the wood. I'll say this- whoever said CCH appeared soft on defense only had to see a little of this game to think otherwise. Shelton had a monster block on #35- I hated to see that kid go- he is a player. I think the other RB (#17?) was also knocked out late. Thoughts and prayers are with those boys and all the boys who got dinged up and who played their hearts out.

I expected nothing less from a Cov Cath and Highlands game- no matter what level.

Big ups to young Mr Hentz. It's not easy being a #2 especially when you're replacing a big-time QB. CCH is fortunate to have him.

The birds played a much better game tonight than last week against Beechwood.

Last week I was shocked by the apparent lack of enthusiasm. They looked flat. Tonight they were more aggressive and made a number of personnel changes that were significant. Having Dale on the sideline probably helped the motivation factor also. Sorry to see Jared was not playing by the time I got there at halftime.

Both teams played hard and it was tight to the end.

Shelton is an animal. After dropping a sure fire TD the next play he basically tackles a Bird into the school

Looked sloppy to me but was hard fought.

Give the Birds credit on faking the punt in the 2nd that led to their TD, and their trickeration on 4th down on the last drive having the RB throw the ball down the field to Greene.

It was the RB who lined up as the QB and the QB who lined up as the RB who threw that ball!
