I'm curious. We have a very interesting matchup about to happen on Friday night when the Cardinals of Colerain (OH) travel to Louisville to battle Private School power Trinity. This game has all the contradictions you could ask for:

OH vs. KY

Private vs. Public

Triple Option vs. Air Attack

So my question is this. If you are not a fan of either school, who do you WANT to see win? If you are a fan of Manual or Male or Simon Kenton, is there a piece of you that wants to see Colerain beat Trinity badly on their home turf? Or, is your loyalty to KY over OH stronger than your distaste for private school and how they go about "building" their enrollment?

If you are a St. X or, well I guess that would be it, fan, do you want to see Trinity triumph over the public school invaders from across the river?

Don't just vote. State your reasons why you voted the way you did.

This is a sociological discussion. Not a football one.

I always root for the Ky school over an out of state school. I love my state.

The "Trinity School for Boys" moniker cracks me up. It's from USA Today, right?

Has Trinity ever called itself that?

I have friends at Trinity.

No question, I am for Trinity.

Trinity, even though I believe my Corbin connection on the Trinity football team graduated last year.

I never do the poll thingy, but I also never root for an OH school over any KY team regardless of who they are...

Now if you want to run a Cincy OH vs IN poll that's another thing, but c'mon

No. In the first few years the school was known as Holy Trinity High School. There is a parish known as Holy Trinity parish a few blocks away. To avoid confusion, Trinity droped the Holy part. Trinity is located at the old site of Holt Trinity parish.

You know less than nothing about how we build our enrollment. Even what you think you know is false.

The public vs. private thing does not bother me one bit. A total non factor for me.

I root for KY schools against all out of state schools.

In the case of Cincinnati schools, I root for them against all out of area competition except KY schools.

I am rooting for Trinity.

After much consideration and Hamlet-like anguish, I am voting for Trinity.

I hope Colerain spanks them!

I hope Colerain spanks them!

Why would that be? Then, if Simon Kenton beats Trinity later on, it would lessen the victory.

I respect both schools, but will be rooting for Trinity b/c they are representing KY. I always root for KY high schools when playing out of state competition.

Now, being from NKY I would root on any NKY school in the playoffs.

However, when it comes to college athletics I will root for UC or X over Louisville, EKU etc. I am a graduate of UK & XU, but have always rooted for UC when not playing one of my schools.

It took a lot longer to type that than to just vote in the poll.
