Yes they do. Highlands actually plays BS in October. Not sure why it didnt follow the Varsity schedule though.

Honestly do not remember. All scores were via the run except for the last one which was a pass from Hergott to New.

I also cannot remember who scored, but I do believe there was another TD pass from Hergott to Miller.

 

Highlight of the game for me was the missed 54 yd field goal. Had plenty of leg, but just wide right. Jared Doughtery will be kicking on Saturdays in a few years.

This sums up the Highlands program in a nut shell....a JV game and they actually had somebody who could attempt a 54 yard field goal. There are probably fewer than 10 programs in the state who have a kicker that could do this on the Varsity level, and Highlands even has one in their JV program.

The kid is their varsity kicker. He was playing JV so he could get some offensive snaps.

But he is a sophomore, so he is legitimately a JV player, but not a JV kicker. Having said that, if he is going to play offense on the JV team, he might as well kick also.

The six million dollar leg. Back in the old REC soccer days he use to boot the ball, we use to laugh because he did not like to run much. I say that now as not only can he kick but a very good athlete. I truly believe that leg will result in many D1 offers. Let's hope he stays healthy. A very nice kid always polite looking forward to following him the next couple of years!!
