Jim Schue
Bubba Hotep The storyline sounds a bit goofy. Elvis is in a rest home in East Texas with a guy who thinks he is JFK. Together they try to rid the rest home of an ancient Egyptian spirit. But this movie has a deeper, sadder underlying theme about how the elderly are pushed aside and forgotten by society. I highly recommend this one. My brother has a copy of this one. I just couldn't bring myself to watch a movie with such a ridiculous-sounding name. titletownclown
I had no idea Snatch was a little known movie! I'd have mentioned it if I did! I guess my contribution to this thread is That Thing You Do. Both are awesome. I always knew you were open-minded, RM. I like That Thing You Do also, but I really love Snatch. You need to reconsider, Jim. Trust me, a fella like you will appreciate the depth of the underlying story.
formerkywrestler
Magnolia - PTA at his best. Stories that don't seem connected end up to be intertwined. Mulholland Drive - One girl's dream of a better life (or at least that's how I see it ) Very Bad Things - The ultimate dark comedy where EVERYTHING goes wrong. I was going by my friends taste...which seems to be quite poor except for a couple of them.

Habib
Wet Hot American Summer. One of those high-brow, NPR crowd type movies.
Getslow
^Haha. I loved Wet Hot American Summer. Last summer they did a midnight double feature of that and Ernest Goes to Camp at Baxter Avenue theatres. It was a blast.
Guest Bluto
One of my all time favorite movies is "Final Countdown" with Charlie Sheen. I would guess nobody remembers that one. I believe that it was Martin Sheen. When the Tomcats surprise the Zeros is an incredible moment!
Birdsfan
I believe that it was Martin Sheen. When the Tomcats surprise the Zeros is an incredible moment! You're right; I got my Sheen's mixed up. And yes, that is one of my favorite parts of the movie. "They're gonna let 'em do it again!" Another favorite part: "Welcome home Mr. Laskey. Get in; we've got a lot to talk about."
