The likelihood of either Nicks or Barden having more than a minimal impact is pretty slim. The running game also lost a big part with Ward going to Tampa. I just don't see them coming anywhere close to the past 2 seasons.

And about Nicks and Barden...who knows. Ramses Barden is apparently looking better than Nicks right now, but he has to show it against the 1st team and not the 2nd and 3rd team. He is physically the biggest receiver on the team. He's a very big guy who has all the tools, and according to Ralph Vacchiano, he has looked very good in camp. But that doesn't mean it will translate to the season. We will see...

Eli is on record stating he doesn't even know who will start at WR this year. That can't be a good thing at this point of the preseason. I think they struggle in that role big time.

If they decided to run the 2007 New England offense, then they'd be in a world of hurt.

They'll be fine. The Giants are a power running football team. They have the best run blocking line in the league and a deep stable of backs. The fact that teams have to gear up to stop their running game will make passing the ball much easier. The rushing attack will open up the passing game. They've had half of last season and an entire off-season to adjust to life without Burress. They'll make it work with what they have, which, at worst, is a bunch of average WR's.

Assuming nobody steps up, and the passing game is just like the end of last year, then the problems for the G-Men is going to occur when they get behind and have to play catch-up.
