I was by Greenup County High School today. I saw what, I assume were parents working on the football field. It was raining and a very nasty day. If the boys have the same spirit as thier parents it will be a good year. Good luck eers!

 

It wasn't just high school parents. Parents of the JFL, Middle school teams were their helping plus some former players. Everybody wants to see GC win. I meet with Coach Copley yesterday he was everything you want in a coach. I just wished had somebody like to play for. GC has a bright future.

It really is a new beginning for GCHS. A strong group of committed folks are working at all levels to improve the facilites and do what is best for the team and the future of GCHS. I am excited about the future!

I heard 2 were Seniors and 1 Junior. Not sure names yet I will keep you posted.

There is some money left from last year but not near enough for the boosters to buy things like equipment, cleats, things the school should be buying. The board does have some ideas floating around so we need everyone to attend Tuesday's booster meeting in the cafeteria at 6:00. The support of the fans right now at GC is SUPER. The boys are seeing this as well and I believe they are getting very excited.Community Pride is what we are finally seeing.:clap:

That is what I am told and the fieldhouse will be partially completed if not all done by the season start as well... Let's keep the pressure on our BOE for this to get done!

The previous boosters bought new cleats last year and uniforms 2 years ago. As far as the amount goes they left $6800. plus bought a new paint machine ($1100.) The school should be able to buy more cleats and uniforms but unfortunately they may not.

Sounds like the GC fans are doing great, hope all goes great this year and they get everything they deserve - the boys deserve the best. I am proud to be a Musketeer Mom and will always be a MM(Musketeer Mom).

Sounds like the ship is finally righting itself in the land of Green, Black and Gold. I am very happy to hear that most people are on the same page and not fighting. I just hope and pray this continues.

Spring Ball starts today, Football Fever is catching at GC. Fans ,students , and coaches are all excited. It is a new atmosphere and I hope it continues through the entire season.It is a great day to be a MUSKIE FAN!!!!!!

Mom55 thanks for the Flag I have it hanging in my game room at my house. Does anybody know if they are going to have a day for spring cleaning in the fieldhouse. I went into the fieldhouse on Friday it looked and smelled awful. Need to take a presser washer to the showers and weightlifting mats. The Flat/Incline bench's need reupholster. I know GC is getting new equipment but that still up in the air where to put it.
