Hoot Gibson
This should play well in coal producing states Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia - if McCain decides to use it. In fact this kind of naivete about our economy should be devastating to Obama in any state. It also points to the fundamental dishonesty of Barack Obama, who has been assuring voters in coal producing areas that he strongly supports the deployment of clean coal technology. I agree. The video shows that Biden was just being truthful when he said that the Democratic ticket opposes any new coal plants in this country. Hoot Gibson
Are there any Obama supporters out there who work for a coal company, utility company, or who lives in a community whose economy will be devastated by Obama's energy policy? In Obama's own words: So, if somebody wants to build a coal plant, they can — it’s just that it will bankrupt them, because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted. You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know — Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Ms Liberty
OH MY What would this do our economy and the coal industry of Ky, WV, VA , OH, Penn. What will people do? Why isn't McCain using this! ! ! !
Hoot Gibson
In case anybody thinks that Obama misspoke or simply spoke without giving much forethought to the impact of high utility costs on American lifestyles, here is an earlier video where Obama makes clear his intent. I notice that Omama supporters do not have much to say on this subject. Either you must like the prospect of reading by candlelight or you do not believe that Obama intends to cause your utility bills to skyrocket. Which is it? 1owlzfan
I have voted at every election for the past 30 years and I have never been scared before a presidential race like I am now. I don't necessarily agree with McCain and I agree that the United States needs changes, but these changes that are needed are definitely not from Obama, so mark another vote for McCain/Palin. Not everybody has been foolish enough to vote early for a socialist, or whatever the proper term for Obama's particular brand of anti-capitalism is. Time is running short for those who have not already cast their ballots to come to their senses. The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But under the name of Liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without knowing how it happened.
