98NCCalum
" I can understand why parents of kids do not want their kids playing at UK. It's not the coaching staff or the school, it's the judgmental fans" :scared: http://www.kentucky.com/287/story/306576.html

ladiesbballcoach
Saw this today and definitely doesn't put UK in the positive spotlight. Probably accurate spotlight but not positive.
Wireman
Saw this today and definitely doesn't put UK in the positive spotlight. Probably accurate spotlight but not positive. I'm pretty sure you'll find the same stuff on the message boards of every other major program in the country.
The Windex Man
Contrary to popular belief, "judgemental fans" are abundant throughout every major college program.
NobizLikeShowbiz
This is at every school. There are fans like this everywhere.
Lucky Charms
We're talking message boards here. He's a sophomore, the kid has so much time. I love the fact that he is a big guy who can step outside and shoot the 3 ball. He's just got to work on some other facits of his game and he's got that time to do that. ladiesbballcoach
So, let me get this right, you guys are justifying this behavior because you assume that everyone does it?
Lucky Charms
So, let me get this right, you guys are justifying this behavior because you assume that everyone does it? Again, we're talking message boards. It's easy for someone to post their opinion on a message board. And yes, it happens nearly every where. Doesn't make it right but seriously as long as there are message boards there will always be outlandish opinions.
Wireman
So, let me get this right, you guys are justifying this behavior because you assume that everyone does it? I'm just saying that if you committ to UK (or UNC, Duke, etc.) you are going to be placed under a microscope. It has always been this way. The only difference is that now we have the Internet to use as a medium instead of the water cooler.
Hasbeen
I saw that article this morning and the first thing I thought of was the thread on middle school basketball we have going on in the General Discussion Forum. I read some of that thing every now and then for the same reason people stare at a car wreck.

Cool.:thumb: Just wanted to make sure that someone out there reading this is not getting encouraged, thinking it is okay for them to get on a website somewhere and rip a 16 year old boy. Teengers have a funny way to take statements right to their heart and believe some whackos views of them. The article even mentions that what used to be said at the barber shop is now being placed for all to read.

IU must be going through some rough times.Ya know, having a top 10 recruiting class, leading the Big 10, and being ranked 1 spot outside the Top 10 in both polls realllllllllly sucks.
