Bill Farmer (R-Fayette) of the State House has pre-submitted a bill for the upcoming '08 legislature making Cornhole the official state game of Kentucky.

You can probably bet that all of them will not to mention the late night talk show host, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy :eek: .

I don't understand what the big deal is. I mean this is a fast growing game that is being played all across the country. The guy who I bought my set from says he has shipped them to almost every state.

How long before we see Cornhole on ESPN the Ocho?

 

If you think about it ......it would televise well.

 

The boards scream out for advertising, and the bags too.

 

The camera shots would be great, and there is strategy on every shot.

 

They could even put one of those tiny mics in the hole like they do in golf.

Cornhole is alot of fun, as long as the cornhole bags are in one hand, and an alcohlic beverage is in the other. But I don't know how I feel about it being the "state game." Didn't it originate in Ohio?

It is believed that the game was started in Germany in the 14th century and then rediscoverd in Eastern Kentucky about 100 years ago.

I dont see what is wrong with it. Cornhole is the perfect state game for our state. I know I love playing it, and it seems to be growing across the country as well...
