Covington Catholic comes racing out and scores 14 quick points on the Birds, but Highlands battles back and grinds out a big win with their dominant run game.

Congratulations to Highlands on the road win.

Ouch.

I enjoyed the game and it looked about right to me.

It wasn’t an ouch. Pretty competitive game.

CovCath looked like a team who left it on the field tonight. Drained yes, soft, I have to disagree with. Just my opinion. Congratulations Birds.

Just his usual schadenfreude.

I got Jack White unofficial stats of 25 rushes for 149 yards…

That rushing attack was very very impressive tonight! I don’t know how you go away from it….

He was definitely impressive. I typed "White up the middle" too many times tonight. Dude runs downhill, and dragged his tacklers for 2 or 4 yards almost every run.

Highlands' O-line was impressive, for that matter. They pushed our defensive front around significantly more than Ryle did last week. Credit to @Cousin Chris on calling that shot.

Good win for Highlands.  After giving up the two big scores the defense was impressive.  Same verse I used to tell Dale Mueller-Coach you need to use your tight ends to do something other than just block!

Cov Cath gave up fewer points to Highlands than SK is giving up to Mercer County. That is an ouch!

I was impressed with the o line. Also Rio faked me out maybe 10 times.

Lots of questionable play calling on both sides tonight. Colonels still trying to find an identity. On to the next one.

Agreed, will be nice to see Rio maybe run even more…he’s got some speed around the corner.

When's someone at CCH gonna address the 20 ton elephant in the room and acknowledge that the special teams coaching is obviously failing?

Cov Cath won’t lose another regular season game…. They will be just fine in 4A until whoever they play in the Semi’s.

Cash Harney is a great player, he will have a fantastic season….
