Feels like I remember something being said abt CCH showing up uninspired in the 1st half then playing from their heels and having to come up with miraculous adjustments for the 2nd half.

Both.

Beechwood was more responsible for the loss but the CCH team's lack of motivation coming out of the lockerroom was a contributing factor too. Starting out flat letting BW take it straight down the field and score on them and answering with a 3 and out had them playing from their heels all night. Playing from their heels seems like a familiar story with most every EE era team that isn't '17/'18/'19. I've read all these comments about EE and his staff being some of the best in the state with making halftime adjustments. Why are they eternally having to change up their plan at the half? Why don't they come out and dominate fron the word go and then simply continue with that into the 1nd half? Aside from SK, a few games against Dixie, and their district gimme opponents, dominating from the word go is not a hallmark of CCH football teams under EE.

EE's coaching staff has worked really hard trying to keep their players from getting the yips by treating all games alike regardless of opponent or circumstance. I think that's really resulted in an inability of EE's coaching staff to get their players excited about big games. That's made for alot of trouble when CCH steps out onto a field facing a team that has players that are really hyped up and ready to roll for a big game. Just look at the BW game a couple weeks ago. Based on that I'm expecting Highlands to pull ahead early and CCH will spend the rest of the game trying unsuccessfully to catch up with a very good Highlands team. I say Birds by 3 tuddies.

St. Henry's assuredly trying to get ppl to switch Colonel to Cru. The upcoming locker room reno and improvements at CCH will probably have something to say about that tho. The add of quarter-mil golf simulators was a nice little something by the CCH athletic dept recently too. Cru athletics are playing catch up. They're a smaller school that has girls athletics to spend money on too.

I love that all these Highlands ppl are the ones talking like the experts on this matter. I always figure if you wanna know the truth about a Catholic school in Kenton county you're best off to ask somebody from a public school in Campbell county and that's where you're gonna get your most accurate answer.

There's some relative truth to this. If there's someone who has the ability to start on in multiple sports in some high school then there's a good chance they'll consider St Henry. May or may not end up going there. One thing going to CCH may well mean to students that St Henry isn't really gonna offer is the chance to play for a state championship. Does St Henry have a boys championship in anything besides cross country? CCH has competed for athletes with St Henry in like all of their sports except football from the jump so why all the sudden with the addition of football is there this huge discussion of the St Henry impact on CCH?

When you have kids watch year after year as the coach of a 4A or 5A sized program uses the same 9 or 10 kids to fill most starting spots in both directions you're bound to get a lot of kids who are gonna decide they have better things to do with their time than go out for a football team just to spend time standing on the sideline.

CCH posted this to their social media this week. Gotta wonder if they had some certain fans with an annoying impact air horn in mind when they decided it needed to be posted this specific week.

CCH's special teams are suspect season after season.

This 3rd and 15 for Highlands is huge.

Not a bad first outing for CCH. Its largely a young team and beating Ryle 50-6 is a good thing. I took 3 things away from the game - Glad to see some diverse looks from the CCH offense. The defensive backfield did pretty well all considered. Ryle's got a whole lot to work on in all aspects of their game.

No Jackson Payne either.

Seems like the football team's had at one or two head scratchers every year for the last handful of years with valuable players not returning. Haven't seen any actual numbers but seems like the CCH football roster's been getting smaller each year too.

Did Zembrodt decide not to return as kicker this year?

A guy I know is a ref up in Cincinnati. Graduated from Moeller in the mid 90's when CCH and Moeller played every year. He works in graphic design and text me these concepts a little while ago. Thought they looked pretty slick. I've always liked the addition of COV CATH on the chests of the unis since they switched to the new helmet designs. The loss of the red accents in the unis is a shame. If folks wanna argue that red's not a school color then idk how they excuse away playing in all black unis LOL. The design of the current helmets is completely pedestrian and uninteresting, which is huge shame considering they used to have one of the most identifiable helmets in the state. These unis with the old helmets would get my thumbs up.

Exactly right. Post-season is a privilege.

There were words said in the Holmes/CCH district thread. Those big mean Colonels really took it to those helpless Bulldogs.

Talked to a couple of coaches in the last week. Woolf was hired with the D coordinator job in mind but it wasn't decided yet and doesn't sound like theres been any definite call made on that yet. Connecting dots I guess that means it's between him, Weinrich, and Teegarten.

It's official now, correct? Leaving Ryle this summer and joining the CCH faculty.

Still haven't seen this one show up reported on the KHSAA. I wonder what the deal is with that.

Will this still be a false "RUMOR" once the 2025 football season is over at NCC though? Lickert is obviously still coaching there at 7:29 on Wednesday November 19th because NCC has a game at Campbellsville at 7:00 on Friday November 21st. But will Lickert be gone once the football season is over?

Seems like moral of the story is that Weinrich was a great coordinator but is not a great head coach. Not all teachers are meant to be administrators and not all coaches are meant to be head coaches.

Couldn't help myself there. JC definitely deserves the respect though.
