I honestly figured the score would be worse for Bracken. Surprised when I saw it was only 21-0 at the half. I'd have guessed it would be and 2d quarter running clock.

Who has the records at CCH for INT's and pick-6's? -
You're not wrong. I feel like I've read that same thing in 4 or 5 of Dixie's final score threads this season.

You're right about that. There were a lot of tickey tackey calls on CCH tonight but the no calls were the worst aspect of the officiating. Number 23 for Mason was shoving receivers and throwing them down by jerseys after the whistle on the opposite end of the field the whole 2d half. They ran into our kicker and knocked him to the ground a full second after the whistle on a PAT and no penalty. A Mason defender drove Rodriguez 3 yards out of bounds while another defender hit him out of bounds right in front of me, and CCH was assessed with unsportsmanlike on the play but no flag on Mason Co. CCH was given a sideline warning for EE standing out at the field numbers yelling, but then when Mason's Coach Wynn was all the way out at the hashes screaming at the refs loud enough that we heard what he was saying in the visiting stands, no sideline warning against Mason Co. Those officials were shamefully bad. Officiating like that gets kids hurt. -

Boone's football has been scraping and clawing to make progress but they just don't seem to be making any headway. Sad to see it with that program. -
That's good trivia in the first post about HC being one of the teams that have beaten CCH in the playoffs. Is there a complete list of those? CWB you seem to pull out all the past game scores. Also interesting about the players named Custard in the '99 game and this year's game. Is that a well known name around Harrison Co?

I feel like there was a lot of talk early on about this freshman team at Beechwood being something exceptional. Am I remembering that wrong? They don't look bad at all but it's not like they're steamrolling everybody. -

Doesn't seem like it's asking that much to have both teams present and on the field or court for the national anthem. Maybe it is though. -

The 'just another game' attitude that the athletic dept at CCH tries to instill in players about the big games seems to frequently backfire and turn into 'just not excited about playing this game' instead. Let rivalry games be rivalry games. -
Love that it's a Highlands fan pointing this out, LOL. More years than not, you could expect at least the four teams CCH has faced at this point in the season to end up with winning records. Ryle, Highlands, Simon and Dixie. Beechwood will have a winning record too, no doubt. District schedule is what it is, and at least Mason Co and Grant Co are both 2-2 right now. So there's a decent chance 6 or possibly even 7 teams on the CCH schedule end up with winning records. I think 5 teams are more than likely to have winning records come season's end. I personally would have rather not had SK on the schedule and I was told Campbell was the only team that was available for Week 11 without going way out of their way to get a better competitor. So it kinda is what it is. I'm not the one calling the shots.

Why do we not target TE Rodriguez more often like we did when we had TE Mayer? Think I saw him targeted 4 times tonight. He had one catch for a first and 2 catches for TD's. -

I'm assuming you're talking about the FB post by a SK parent that says Coach Lucas came in at halftime and told the team "You guys do whatever you want," and then just walked straight into his office and closed the door? And then evidently he also didn't huddle the team for a postgame talk. Just let them leave. I realize sometimes kids make it tough for someone to coach them. And let's be honest, they can be incredibly frustrating to deal with sometimes because they're still kids. But that's not even attempting to be a coach. Lucas isn't doing what he's being paid to do if that's the nonsense he's pulling out in Independence. -

Surely it's not the clientele, though, right?
