  1. I remember that. That was back in the days of Little Mikey Clines' overly-competent principalship. So competent that the administration never bothered to update, check, or take any ownership of managing their Wikipedia page.
  2. Heard 6-8 weeks from the surgery. That's round 2 of playoffs at best. Our offense and defense both would be looking much different this week with Willie in the game. Is Seth Jones back in pads? The original post mentioned 8 CCH players out with injuries against Boone.
  3. Heard we're going to see a lot of ball toting by players not named Owen Leen.
  4. Who are you rooting for in this one Colonels Wear Bleu? Subquestion, a Bluebird a Red Colonel and a Tiger are in a three-way standoff. Who do you want to win?
  5. CCH by a bunch. Calpreps projects this at 41-6. It'll be closer than that but not by too much. CCH will score something in the neighborhood of 41 but Cooper will score something like 14 or 17.
  6. I'll wait to see Beechwood's confirmation on the stat, but I was told Beechwood only rushed for 18 yards.
  7. I am thoroughly entertaining by how confident so many Beechwood fans were prior to the game, and now they keep mentioning names of injured players.
  8. How many of the linemen are practicing playing both ways? I haven't paid that much attention to it this year. As a 5A school, CCH should have players enough to have dedicated offensive linemen who practice fulltime on offense and a separate squad of dedicated defensive linemen who practice fulltime on defense. I think the attempts we see at arm tackling on defense and the confusion on the o-line when the defense brings a war party blitzing will clean itself up a lot if we had fewer players going both ways.
  9. Peighton Finck played 2 varsity games at Cov Cath in 2021, per the KHSAA stats. Looks like the last time he was in was against Boone County on October 1st. He was playing middle school football at Turkeyfoot prior to starting at CCH, so it would seem that he was at least living in Dixie school district territory immediatelt prior to his time at CCH. I don't know where he may or may not have lived in the last three years, but still, seems to me he more than likely won't be eligible to play at Dixie until October 1st.
  10. True. But yeah, number one by overall record but not by district record.
  11. Third. When Sphire was hired, you'd have thought the Birds hired Bill Belichick, the way people went on in Ft. Thomas. Things seem to have gone slightly differently than anticipated.
  12. Boone is gonna come away from week 1 as the number one team in the district. Wonder when the last time was that Boone was top in their district.
  13. Checking in on Beechie Tech. Just getting started in this one, right?
  14. Bring out the elephant trunk! That oughta really inspire the Birds to win this one!
  15. I guess that depends on your definition of drama. If making a grandiose performance of "I think I want to quit the basketball team" and "I wanna go to a different school" every semester and fighting for attention at every turn fits into your definition of drama, then yes that's what I'm saying.
  16. Good luck to Chandler. Hopefully he focuses on just playing solid football at Anderson and leaves the backstage dramatics behind. Some coaches are less inclined to want that in their locker room.
  17. "Survive"? I don't know if that even qualifies as a back handed compliment or if it's just an outright jab. CCH won by 12 points. Cooper's only point (singlular) in the 4th quarter was a free throw. That sounds like some very competent "surviving" by CCH if you ask me. I could go on about my thoughts about how fantastic a coach Sully is in relation to his ducking CCH in their basketball schedule and what kind of lesson that teaches his players, but I won't.
  18. Now they're defending an intentional foul by a HC player because CCH has their starters in still.
