Elliott Co. at Raceland All A 16th Region

Raceland beat Elliott in the first game of the season for the Lions.

I think Raceland is playing very well and given they won in the first meeting, I'll take Raceland by 5 in a very closely played game with many lead changes.

Raceland will make the game ugly. In the end Elliott Co has to many options for the rams to contain. Elliott by 10 in a low scoring game.

Elliott has been on a roll, but Raceland will be ready at home and Johnson will once again have a plan to slow the Lions pace down. Look for a close, physical defensive game. Elliott will be looking for a little revenge after the season opening loss, but Elliott seems to be a completely different team now. Should be a good game, but probably a little on the ugly side.

After blowing Rose Hill out of the gym, Raceland can go one of two ways.

 

1 - they can be on too much of a high after such a big win and then come out flat and get beat

 

2 - they can get refocused and compete for the championship

 

Its always hard to say what will happen to a team after big wins. I say - Go Lions!

After about 10 game's in a row of really solid team play offensively and

defensively I dont think "TEAM" play is an issue Coach Mays will be worried about!!!!

I am glad that the Carter County Station carries Elliott when possible. Since Sandy Hook has no radio station, it isn't often that the elderly of the county can hear the play by play.
