Could it have been 1992 1st round matchup against Greenup Co.? I could be wrong, but I think we played Greenup, Holmes, and Highlands in the first three rounds of the 92 playoffs.

That 92 Cov  Cath team was loaded! I know we took a butt kicking from you guys.

The system is broken and it's only going to get worse. Have's and have nots. Most want to look at the 1st, and even 2nd round of the playoffs as the issue, but you can start seeing it much earlier.

Probably alread said buy only top two teams from each district go to the playoffs.

Seed teams by their RPI through out the whole playoffs.

The problem of this is districts. There are some loaded districts and some weak districts. Do away with districts and it makes more sense. There are a number of districts where 3 and sometimes 4 would beat the the 2 and maybe 1.

L liked how the playoffs was before the RPI!  I think we should go back to East vs West in the finals. You alternate the semi finals every year like we used to.

Back to four classes. Top four of each district make the playoffs.

I am much more concerned in with all the regular season travel and being forced to play certain teams than maybe a couple of long trips in the playoffs.

I get you, but (hypothetically) asking a Fulton County squad to travel to Pikeville or Raceland for a first-round drubbing is a tough ask.   Unless we’re eliminating a couple of playoff rounds.

I’ve never liked having 6 classes. I think 4 is enough.

I would be for #2 or #3, I don't think you need to do both, but for sure one or the other (which I think would accomplish your greater point).

This is such a good point and a realistic scenario if you seed the entire state 1-32 or even 1-16 based on a ranking.

I think the KHSAA should have a 1.5 multiplier for private schools that give financial aid.

Is the stadium where Georgetown plays big enough for championship games?

Built to hold 5,000. It can be expanded, but not sure what that would entail. In current configuration, no...it's too small.

What about public schools with open enrollment?

I think it was 2016 when a winless Muhlenberg County team traveled to Louisville to play St X. It was Desmond Ridder's senior year. No one got anything out of that but an uncomfortable  5 hour round trip bus ride and a beat down that could not be avoided. Just about every team making the playoffs leads to these types of games.

15 games and July to December is a lot to ask of high school kids. Shorting the season by shorting the playoff a week would be good. Get it done Thanksgiving weekend

All public schools are free so shouldn't they have the multiplier?
