sportsfan41
It seems as though all of the models keeps trending further south. Do we get a correction back to the North at some point?

Do we get a correction back to the North at some point? It's possible but I don't believe so. If anything the snowfield may narrow some. Reason being I see more warm air trying to move in from the south. I think this will cause more of an freezing rain situation for most of Kentucky around and south of I-64. I'll post my first calls later this evening.
nWo
FYI for everyone. I received and email from the National Weather Service-Louisville office that they will have two conference calls tomorrow. One in the afternoon and then one in the evening. As long as I've been doing this I don't ever remember them having two conference calls the same day. That maybe another sign that we are in for a historic winter storm.

I am in Boone Co and the one thing I do not want is for the power to go out for an extended period of time. Does that mean that I hope that warmer air is moving in from the south? Do I want a northern track or a southern track? This just helps me when I read your posts or watch the news.

Then the worst part of ice is power issue, IMO. Add that with some of the temps that are coming in behind this storm and it's a recipe for disaster with busted pipes, etc.

It means that there will be a short cut off from where the snow ends and the freezing rain begins. It could be a matter of just a few miles where one would get snow or freezing rain. Boone County looks like it is in the moderate to major impact areas from this storm.
