Jim Schue
The fact that TNHS is a state of the art school makes it to believe it would be closed. Doesn’t Bethlehem take some kids as well? There is also a prevailing rumor that once TNHS gets shut down, Bethlehem will buy the property and turn it into the 5th Region's version of LexCath and LCA. Those are rumors. What is fact is that NC Schools enrollment has been declining for a decade, and Bethlehem and Bardstown are growing. It's why Bardstown had to move up to 3A in FB. winterweather
Never knew Nelson co was such a wild place. I never dreamed Bethlehem had such aspirations but their athletics have steadily improved. You are the definitive source, @Jim Schue

The rumor going around these parts is once the current St. James Church leaves Dixie in Elizabethtown for its Ring Road location (phase one is done, but sanctuary still on Dixie) that North Hardin Christian/Elizabethtown Christian would take that spot. Or Elizabethtown Catholic, Part 2.

Or Elizabethtown Catholic, Part 2. I'm not too terribly familiar with E-Town and Hardin County. Is North Hardin Christian/Elizabethtown Christian a church, or a high school? Or both? Nathaniel Bryan
Elizabethtown Christian was a K-8 private KCSAA school acquired by North Hardin Christian, which routinely does well in the KCAA. North Hardin Christian private is within walking distance of North Hardin High public. North Hardin Christian bought the former Brown Street education center, which was owned by Hardin County Schools public. That gives North Hardin Christian property in three cities. ... They're playing Monopoly for a reason, and I CAN'T imagine Hardin County Schools, Elizabethtown Independent or Bethlehem will be happy with the end result/master plan. groundattack
This job is going to be a chore for someone to fix. Really in a bad shape, the school split has really killed the athletic programs.

groundattack
I think patience is the key word here they have to hire a super don't think a quality coach would take this without knowing the super. I fear they will stay within the district on this super hire and if they do that will make fixing this program nearly impossible. Jim Schue
The Nelson County opening has been filled. Dirk Strunk, who most recently was a head coach in Alabama and has 16 years as an HC, will be the new NCHS coach. He was at the school today meeting with administrators, teachers and students.
