Anyone noticed that Navier leaving has not really helped the special teams play at all?

UK lost a close game to Auburn. Good job UK very close to being a really good team.

PT didn't trust his receivers or his line that last play, he was pressured yes but everyone knew he was going to run it as soon as he left the pocket.

Don't think you can call this a bad loss, it's an unfortunate one and it got away, but Auburn was the preseason SEC favorite and I think their offense played a lot better.

UK is still 25% Joker. This isn't basketball on grass (unless you watch TCU or Baylor), UK could be 6-0 or 1-5, they're 4-2 but they just have to continue to buy in and get over the hump. I say they upset one of Miss. St, Georgia, or Tennessee. Charlotte and Louisville they beat up and hopefully one game this year at least get Drew Barker some snaps man.

UK simply missed on multiple opportunities. This is still a fairly young team, not a great deal of senior leadership to lean on.

This team is still very much an improvement from last years team in my opinion.

Could have won, but the theme for tonight was missed opportunities which really ended up costing them the game. They really matched up well, but Auburn made less mistakes and won. Football happens.

I'm happy UK is able to compete nowadays and are really fun to watch. But man it stinks tonight. Guess that means progress is really being made.

Another woulda', coulda', shoulda' game played by this team. Should "if's and but's were candy and nuts then we would all have a Merry Christmas" .... Dandy Don Meridith.

I do not doubt these guys effort at all, this team just has to learn to Finish / Win a huge game like this. One less dropped pass, one less missed receiver / throwing into coverage, make better plays on punts . k/o's - special teams.

I don't think this loss goes on any one person or coach. Auburn has more depth and overall more athletes and better team. At the end of a game that shows.

U.K. still has quite a way to go but thank God it's not as far as it has been in years past. I personally am thrilled to see how hard that U.K. players are playing. I think that we all can remember the seasons of the games were over before they started and it wasn't all that many years ago.

A lot of people can coach or call plays when everything is going good and you are in a rhythm.

Money is made when things are not going great or the pressure is on you, not the other team.......pressure burst pipes or makes diamonds........UK had some pipes burst on that final drive and punt by AU.

SEC talent, Big 12 coaching staff.......

With that same sentiment. UK's defense played solid in the 2nd half. Played like that in the first half and UK probably wins by two TD's....

Auburn is only one of 3 schools I think to have 5 top 10 recruiting classes in a row. They have 5 and 4 star kids on their scout team. And for them to struggle like they have this year is baffling.

The thing about tonight though is they actually played really well especially offensively, even though their defense is a mess. They came at Uk today like I thought they would in the beginning of the season, and to give UK credit they didn't back down and fought back.

I think PT could have connected with Badet on the last play.

Even If Badet was open the way he dropped balls I'd try and make it with my feet if I'm PT.

1 min left 1st down at midfield and you run a Play Action 5 yard out? They know you have to pass so why run play action? Then the 2nd and 5 run that was snuffed out. Good lord Dawson has been bad when it counts. Takes me back to the Florida game at the end of the 3rd qtr when PT drivers em down the field on some key passes and then he decides to run the ball 3 straight times. Just mind boggling.

UK is making strides. Just not there yet.

Towles has NFL arm strength. A few of those opposite hash throws to get 1st downs had NFL zip on em.

Sadly the most talented of the two teams won.

Disagree.

I do laugh about how Dawson "can't coach" yet UK put up over 400 yards of offense and was a dropped TD pass from 33 points.

Scrub.

Two issues with Dawson's play calling still.

1. He needs to btter leveragei of the run game or short/screen passes to the backfield outside the 10 yard line so that defenses can not focus on the pass coverage.

2. He needs to resist the temptation to 'take his shot' on first down from 40 yards out on first down. This is a consistant tendency that teams must be aware of by now. Its great when it works, if it works. But it has not so far and then the tendency is run on 2nd down and then get in trouble with a 3rd and long.

UK just isn't as good as some thing they are. I think the prediction thread was like a 2 to 1 vote for UK wining this game. I just don't think they are very good and the defense is horrible and as long as the inconsistency on the QB's part continues with the questionable play calling, well this team is going nowhere.

When does Stoops stat being questioned? I mean he's a great recruiter, but when it doesn't translate into W's against teams that are mediocre then you have to start questioning him also.

What was mark stoops going off about the whole game!?

Your prediction. :lol2:
