October 16, 201511 yr Clock management. Yikes. Overall UK just couldn't ever overcome the interception. Made it a two score game, and though UK got back in it after the half, they were never able to completely catch up. Bad drops too. UK had plenty of chances, just didn't get it done. How about Baker dropping ANOTHER TD pass. That would have given them the lead in the 3rd. That would have bounced them back.
October 16, 201511 yr Great game sucky ending. I know there was some pressure but I think Towles made up his mind that he was going to try to run even before the snap. I haven't seen a replay and maybe it was a designed run. I just know as soon as he had pressure from his right he took off to the left and seemed like he was dead set on trying to run and didn't even look to pass. Sucks to end the game that way but he played a great game!
October 16, 201511 yr As soon as the pocket pushed Patrick outside he knew he wanted to run. Many have said that Bone was wide open. I didn't see though.
October 16, 201511 yr Towles was outstanding, they deserved that win He played really, really well. But that interception was horrible and took the wind out of our sails. He should have had better numbers, but way too many drops by receivers.

October 16, 201511 yr Dropped passes cost us this game...the interception in the red zone was also costly...and the running the ball with no time outs and the clock running out? Frustrating.
October 16, 201511 yr I think the play calling was good, it was a good balance. The draw was bad but I guess they figured Auburn wasn't expecting run so Boom could get the first and stop the clock. Still not worth the risk though. Not when all you need is a FG and it's under a minute.
