Auburn 30 Kentucky 27

Wow, thats amazing that someone can think U.K. has more talent than Auburn right now. Wow.

Neither team has that much talent. Auburn's is overhyped, UK's is underrated. But both teams are a level or two below the upper echelon of the SEC.

I think Dawson does a good job of play calling. I will be one of the few that actually like the run play on 2nd down. It is a quick play and you pick up first and able to spike on 1st down. Its only a bad call because it didnt work.

UK fans be mad at Stoops. He hasnt been able to manage a clock his entire time at UK. The end of the Half was an example. Also late in the game.

That run call in that situation is to risky of a call to make, especially when you have zero timeouts. I could see maybe trying it, if you still had a timeout just in case you do get stopped short. However with no timeouts, to much time comes off of the clock. Especially when the play before you got tackles in bounds on the pass play. That was probably 30 to 40 seconds worth of time gone in just two plays that gained a total of 5 yards. So in that situation it wasn't worth the risk to do that run play.

Neither team has that much talent. .

What?

What do you mean "that much talent?" Compared to what/whom?

I have no idea what you are talking about lol :taz:

You stole my line … :D

Compared to the higher level SEC teams this season. Should have clarified.

Auburn has the 5th most talented roster in the SEC. If that's what you mean by that OK then. But they are #8 in the nation and miles ahead of UK, point blank, period.

Are you seriously using recruiting rankings to determine talent and skill on rosters?

Would you take the talent of TCU/Utah this year or what Auburn has? Auburn has more than Michigan State? Really? Miami has highly ranked classes every year, are they loaded?

Football fans complaining about last night's loss to Auburn is a good thing.....now there is a winning expectation. That's a positive

For all I know, Auburn may be the 5th most talented in the SEC, but they do not have the depth over the course of their roster of a team like LSU or Bama, or to be honest even a team like Florida, who wasn't very highly regarded before the year.

Just one man's opinion.

Gotcha.

Yes, I am absolutely, because its fact. It has been statistically correlated in study. You are confusing potential and performance. Or you just don't know the difference. Talent gives you potential. Performance is production. Not the same thing in any sport or any walk of life.

Kentucky also needs to find more than 1 kicker that can find the EndZone on Kickoffs. Not 1 kickoff got anywhere close to the EndZone tonight. If 1 kick did then I Sneeezed and missed it. I know our Punts reached the Goal Line....

The announcers last night said the kicker was dealing with a groin injury, and that's why his kicks were short.

If you are comparing Stoops as a recruiter to Joker, yeah he's great. In the big picture of college football he's barely good, nowhere near great. He is winning Ohio kids that OSU/Michigan don't want, in other words kids that would have gone to IU or Illinois in the past. Can't win with those kids. Not in the B1G, not even in the weak SEC East.

That's not entirely true. He has gotten a few good recruits that bigger football schools were after. He isn't just getting Big 10 castoffs.

Agree overall. Elam is getting better. Had 6 tackles last night. Not sure how he graded out because a)I don't watch him every play and b)I don't know what his responsibility is on every play.

Needs to continue working on the body and getting more explosive.

IMO, he needs to be much quicker off the snap. Multiple times last night he was the last lineman out of his stance.

So you are saying that since rankings of players coming out of high school that are based off of peoples opinions, mean those players were and are more talented? It couldn't be that possibly those people who evaluated had opinions that were wrong on just how talented a player truly was coming out? Your whole thing right now in terms of talent is being based off of peoples opinions of players coming out of high school. It doesn't make it a fact that those players are and were more talented. So no using the rankings of players out of high school especially in football doesnt mean a team definitely had the more talent.
