Dale was an excelent football coach. I figured he would hang around for that all time win record.

I see Mueller back somewhere in a few years, he needs to recharge his battery.

My student says Dale is AD/teacher for 1 more year.

You may not like him on the field because of his competitiveness, but what I have learned is that he is not just an outstanding coach, but and unbelievable person as well. He has a great heart and has an unebeliveable drive and passion for whatever he does. The time and effort he put into football in general is unreal. Sad to see him go, but we had other coaching changes before. We will survive.

 

For the record, I too felt this was coming. Win or lose.

The fact that Dale has no trophies or displays in his home regarding football speaks volumes regarding what is most important in his life. Accolades, records, wins/losses are less important than shaping young men and enjoying his time with family. Bravo Dale !!!

Marksberry's car was already spotted in front of the FT Superintendant's office. He drives fast.

Congrats to one of the all time greatest. Coach Mueller leaves behind a tremendous legacy.

 

I hope he enjoys his retirement to the fullest. I'd like to go bluegill fishing with him some time.

I'm sure he will have enough plaques for the both of you to clean the fish on.

I heard this almost a week ago, but brushed it off as impossible. I think all of us wanted to believe this great coach would be with us until his last breath. But that is selfish and unreasonable. He has given us enough and deserves to enjoy some peaceful time with his family.

 

Dale is the greatest coach our team has ever known and should be mentioned among the all-time greats. More importantly, he is a wonderfully kind man and a loving grandfather. We will be less without his leadership for sure. But we will be greater for what he has done for our children, our school and our community. And we can be sure that leadership and contribution will continue until his last breath. God bless you, Coach Mueller.

Congratulations to Coach Mueller. He is a legend for many many reasons. His record and state titles speak for itself but he helped show programs how to step their game up here in the last decade. Ironically his last game against Collins shows that other schools can find success based off of what he did at Highlands. Good luck going forward Coach Mueller and good luck to the Highlands program as well.
