Dale Mueller is a friend, a truly great man and an excellent teacher who happened to be a great football coach. Dale would tell you that he does not want to be remembered as a great football coach, but rather as a man who had the privilege to play an important part in the development of many fine young people in the classroom and on the football field. His greatness lies in his humility, his positive behavior, his admirable character, his faith in Christ and the way that he treats everyone with respect, regardless of their "position" in life. In addition to "granddaddy" time, it will be fun to see how he chooses to have an impact with some new found discretionary time. Thanks, Dale, for serving as a true positive, role model! You are tops in my book!

That about sums it up. I'm very happy for Dale, he did it his way and have left a legacy that will be measured for a long time in Ft. Thomas.

 

He really reminds me of Mike Yeagle in that they both put their respected programs at the very top just about the entire time they were there. Both NKY Coaching Legends.

After todays news I think it will be awhile before anything is erected in Ft Thomas......doh!

Congratulations on an awesome career. That record speaks for itself. Definitely will go down as one of the best coaches in KY High School Football history.

Not sure about a statue, but "Dale Mueller Field" has a certain ring to it. Or maybe they can name the new fieldhouse down in Death Valley after him...

11. Simply read the Cincinnati Enquirer for the retirement recap. He told the HHS Administration a year ago this was his last year as football coach. He needs one more year in the system for full retirement. Now maybe they will schedule Trinity!
