I’m assuming the Gold team is the lower tier varsity guys and maybe some JV or is it all JV?

It’s JV but not sure how far down depth chart so not sure if any Varsity guys will play with them.

Glad to see Henry Clay. Want to play the Lexington schools who seem to avoid us.

It's not exactly "avoiding" as it may seem at first glance. The district-wide director of athletics for Fayette County Public Schools requires that all of the FCPS high schools to play one another in football, whether or not they are in a district together. For Douglass, as an example, that means they have a district schedule consisting of 4 games, and then they have 5 more games (Bryan Station, Tates Creek, Lafayette, Dunbar, and Henry Clay) that they are required to schedule because of district rules. That leaves them with 1 single game a season that they can look for a different opponent from contract to contract. They currently have LexCath on Nov 1. Bryan Station is in a similar position to Douglass, although they only have 3 other schools in their district. The remaining schools - Tates Creek, Dunbar, Lafayette, and Henry Clay - are all in a district together, so they only have to burn up two of their non-district games on the remaining FCPS football programs.

I can't speak to scheduling requirements or rules for Scott County and now Great Crossing. The Cardinals never have seemed to duck anyone when it comes to scheduling, seeing as they have had PRP, Cincy Elder, Cincy Moeller, Cincy LaSalle, Highlands, CovCath, Pulaski County, and Ryle on their schedule in the last 5 or 6 years.
