I was there. They rotated a lot of groupings. Offense scored 3 times. I would say overall defense played better. Mekhi Smith was dressed but held out because of injury. Logan Davis looked good at RB. Punter looked really good with some boomers. Being Intrasquad, hard to gleen a lot from it. Should learn a lot more next Friday at SK scrimmage.

Did some 10 play series and then did regular game.

Out of everything I think I’m most impressed by this scrimmage. There are just so many kids that need to get reps and allowing younger players to get an entire scrimmage against a different team is great!

I know “they” were excited about this group during conditioning in the spring and summer.

 

We’ll find out on August 29th which excitement is true as the Tigers travel to St. Matthews!

I started tracking my games back in 2013, but still remember the last time was able to see St. Xavier play. It was back in 2012 against Cincinnati St. Xavier and the score was 23-9. I will get to see them play this year in the bowl game at Lexington Catholic against Henry Clay, who I last seen play back in 2012 when they defeated Belfry.

I’m planning on being at that game as well. But kicking off the week with the freshman game against Trinity the night before the Bluegrass Bowl.
