Statsdontlie
Is Savannah the front runner for Miss Basketball? She has put up monster numbers against great teams. She has scored 3,000 points and counting. IMO she's definitely the leader going into the second half of the season.
Guest
She was fun to watch on Saturday. Can shoot from anywhere on the court and is a very smart player
Oldercoach
Lex-Herald had a great write-up on her this morning. 42 against Mercy and 40 against Ryle! What a weekend.
Southerboy
Here is my thoughts on this from another thread. Wheeler is a great shooter, one of the best I’ve seen in awhile, but for Miss Basketball I’m less convinced after watching her. She is very one dimensional. Her drives and floaters were below average and she lacks the height needed to finish well. She is not relevant on the boards. Had decent handles but didn’t see the floor well, just dribbled in circles a lot. She will not be able to do that at the next level. That being said, her team won the tourney and she can shoot as well as any girl I’ve seen in awhile. Certainly deserves to be in the conversation. Would like to see King play. Schwartz should be in the conversation and if Ryle wins state she could be the winner. Only seen Harrison in the summer so that’s not a great picture. But same for her if GRC wins state. magicfan217
The voting is all done before the postseason. So advancing to state and/or winning state will not be a factor in this award. Wheeler is certainly on the short list of potential winners though. She had a big weekend in Lex.

OBC2018
Wheeler is really good but front runner for Ms. Kentucky basketball seems a little much. I think she is number two in her region behind Menifee's Emma Hacker.
