Jumper_Dad
Team #1 PG John Stockton SG Michael Jordan SF Scottie Pippen PF Karl Malone C Hakeem Olajuwon I think we could all agree would be a formidable starting 5. These players were picked specifically for one reason. 1) Name how they were selected? 2) Could this starting 5 beat Warriors starting 5 in a 7 game series? Jumper_Dad
Would you take Team #1 or Team #2 in a 7 game series?

UKMustangFan
Team 2, and I don't think it'd be close.
sportsfan41
I'm not sure who I would give the edge to in the Malone vs Malone match up at PF, but I'm leaning towards Malone.
Jumper_Dad
So no one has a guess as to how each team was built?
bugatti
So no one has a guess as to how each team was built? #1 the players are all the main cogs in consecutive years, but it has to be deeper than that.
Jumper_Dad
#1 the players are all the main cogs in consecutive years, but it has to be deeper than that. Yes, there is a common link on both teams between each player on each respective team.
rjs4470
#1 the players are all the main cogs in consecutive years, but it has to be deeper than that. Team #1 is the all decade team from the 1990's NBA.com: NBA.com All-Decade Team
MJAlltheWay24
As much as I love Jordan, I definitely go with #2.
bugatti
Team #1 is the all decade team from the 1990's NBA.com: NBA.com All-Decade Team I guess there is nobody else to put in his place, but Pippen just doesn't seem on near the same level as the others. Of course I think he is the most overrated player in NBA history, so part of my bias is coming through.
bugatti
I can't figure out the significance of #2. And yes, they would beat #1, and both would easily take the Warriors.
CincySportsFan
So no one has a guess as to how each team was built? I'll admit, I had to start looking at stats to come up with something. I don't know if this is it, or not...but, it looks like team #1 has the top players for each position using career steals. And, looks like team #2 is top players for each position using career points. Am I close?
SnottieDrippen
Team #2 PG Oscar Robertson SG Kobe Bryant SF Lebron James PF Karl Malone C Kareem Abdul-Jabbar These players were picked specifically for one reason. 1) Name how they were selected? 2) Could this starting 5 beat Warriors starting 5 in a 7 game series? Are these the leading scorers in each decade? Looks like 60's-10's? Did Oscar outscore Wilt in the 60's? EDIT: Probably not. KD would probably be the 10's, so I like the top scorers at positions.
