  1. Final. All Demons, all game. 9 straight wins for the Demons heading into the All A, where they will play the winner of Gallatin Co. and Cornerstone Christian.
  2. Demons trailed by 2 at the half, 12 after 3, and battled back, hitting FT to put it away in the end.
  3. Nah. Walton is good, Collins lost a lot to graduation.
  4. Rondon is probably my second favorite player outside of Williamstown. Cooper is never out of a game with him on the court.
  5. Final from the Demon Dome. The Demons led 44-14(ish) at the half. Panthers were not at full strength tonight, missing their two leading scorers.
  6. First game is seeding game. Williamstown is currently the 1-seed in the 32nd District.
  7. None of those were what I would call “clean looks.” Solid defensive performance from the Demons. Best seats in the house(because the chairs have backs). I’d put competitive GC/WHS matchups up against any rivalry game. Some years they’re a snooze fest, but the last 5 have been well-attended and legitimately good basketball games.
  8. Feagan- 17pt/8reb H. Yangoua- 14/11 (2nd straight 10/10) J. Yangoua- 10/5 Donaldson- 2/7 (thought his rebound number would be double that) Morris/Taylor- Combined 11/3 21/46 FG 5/17 3FG 7/15 FT 36reb(24/12) 7ast/16TO Hucker- 12/9 Breeden- 9/11 Bosse- 8/3 Utter- 7/1/3 18/56 FG 0/15 3FG 5/13 FT 31reb(16/15) 6ast/11TO
  9. Haven’t seen anything yet. Guessing the numbers that will stand out are Donaldson’s rebounds and GC’s FT%. Pretty balanced scoring across the board. Or seemed to be anyway.
  10. Any of those have seat backs all around? The Den is cool and the Roy is untouchable for two or three games per season, but those wooden bleachers don’t do my aging body any favors.
  11. Newport needs to do something to get CCH out of this zone so they can exploit the 1v1 matchups.
  12. Frommeyer has been at Bellevue. That’s not an addition.
  13. Final, per the scoreboard. Anybody got the scoop on this one?
  14. Kid bent over the kid on the floor to say something to which the kid on the floor took offense. Agree that it appeared to be a flop.
  15. Assuming that, like most schools, they have the top 5-7 JV guys on the varsity bench, and that all players who left the bench are indeed suspended or were otherwise involved, would you be interested in having players 13-20 in the program as the varsity roster? If so, are they also playing a JV game?
  16. Disqualified players receive a suspension. I don’t remember how many games, but I feel like it was three at one point. Or maybe that was for ejected coaches and it was one for players. My statement comes from the fact that the entire bench is on the floor and leaving the bench area is an auto disqualification.
  17. Looks like some JV only games on the horizon for Seneca.
  18. Final from Independence. Royals led by 30 for most of the 2nd half. I’d imagine it was an unusual starting five for Mason Co. maybe someone from Maysville can shed some light on the JV guys getting the nod tonight.
  19. I know this is an Ohio event, but it really showcased the NKY basketball community. EJ and Yamil, and several other local hoopers in the building, lots of hugs and “how ya doin”s, and a nice win to boot. Worth every penny.
  20. I’ll definitely be finding my way back into a Newport game this season. Fun team to watch.
  21. Only other change I’m aware of is throw-in spots, and I doubt this is noticeable to casual fans. My understanding is as follows: On a foul or violation in the backcourt, ball goes to the spot closest to the interruption. In the front court, there are four spots(two on each side of the court) along the baseline and sideline for inbounding following a foul. A ball deflected out of bounds by the defense will still go to the spot the ball went out. Not entirely certain what that means for a ball dribbled off the defender’s foot though.
