Newport Central Catholic 2008/09
Well this sounds silly, but it's the truth. If they don't draw Highlands in the first round of the district they'll go to the region and have a chance to make it to the state tournament. Good luck NCC in 08/09!

Freshmen; Highlands vs NewCath
Prior to the Highlands varsity scrimmage at Male I watched the freshman scrimmage. Highlands has a big kid playing safety that will light you up.

CalPreps Preseason Rankings: Highlands No. 1 in KY!
- Ryle 2008/09
I dont think getting by Conner this year will be their problem. Highlands will be very tough for them.- Everybody plays in Fort Thomas...
A great league. The proof is in the pudding. I would say 95% of these kids who continue to play go on and play for Highlands. The league prepares young football players to win state championships.- 9th Region Predictions
Wasn't everyone pretty consistant against Ryle this year?- 9th Region Predictions
If Towles threw a no hitter his last time out you would be critical. What is it with this kid from Highlands that causes you to bash him so much? Please come watch him pitch on Monday and give us a full report.- St. Henry 10 Conner 2
Good job coach Terrell!- Boone County 13 Ryle 0 (5 innings)
You would think they would have come to play it being a district game and all.- Highlands Freshman Football
How will the young Birds do this year compared to last years freshman class? I hear they open with NC and then Covington Catholic.- Highlands 8 Bellevue 5
The Birds made it interesting. Towles hung on to throw a complete game. Muench went yard for the Birds. A good effort from Bellevue who is gaining more respect everyday.- Bellevue's Hunter Jones' Stats
Towles only threw two innings against Bellevue and had 4 k's and didn't give up any hits. So yea they've faced some good pitching for brief periods, but didn't do very well. In big games that count, Bellevue will face better pitching and in all reality will probably not get out of the district. Jones is a good player and certainly has some potential to be a very good player.- 36 District Draw
I have not been able to confirm this, but believe this to be accurate. Highlands v. Newport Bellevue plays the winner NCC v. Dayton Winner plays the winner of the Bellevue v. ? game.- Bellevue 4 Highlands 3
First of all Congrats to Bellevue. If anything this game tells me that if Highlands draws Bellevue they may have to pitch Towles instead of saving him. I think Towles would be tough for Bellevue to beat.- Highlands 11 Ryle 3
Heck he's bred to throw. His grandfather averaged 200 innings a year in the "Bigs".- Bellevue 4 Highlands 3
Towles pitched the first two innings. 4 k's, no hits, no runs. Maybe they're going to use him some today against Ryle. Muench gave up a dinger to Jones. Head didn't pitch bad, things didn't go well in the field for him.- Highlands 4 Scott 2
The stats in the paper today are not up to date and don't include the 10 K's Towles had against Scott.- Highlands 4 Scott 2
I was not at the game, but when he left they (Highlands) were down 3 to nothing.- Highlands 4 Scott 2
This young man is very capable of being drafted one day. He's a late blooming physically maturing kid. There is a lot of upside. He's 6'4 and throws hard and does come from a good gene pool. I wouldn't be so quick to judge this young man's potential so negatively.- Highlands 4 Scott 2
WaterBoy you should be very suprised about todays game. Quote from WaterBoy on the previous Highlands v. Scott matchup , "Very suprised that Highlands was held scoreless, but not so suprised that Scott scored 11 on Towles." Though your quote was factually inaccurate I'm sure you're very suprised about todays game.- Highlands 4 Pendleton County 1
Just out of curiosity how hard do you think he was throwing?- Highlands Baseball
Nice article in the paper today about a couple of Highlands players. http://news.nky.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20080320/SPT0302/803200351/- Highlands Baseball
Doesn't Highlands scrimmage Beechwood this Saturday? Weather permitting obviously.- Conner Vs NIDA
ND by 10 or better. A 35 point win over HC a few days ago speaks for itself. Though I'm not a ND fan the coach there has done a great job this year. Losing the players they lost last year and to be right back in it is impressive! - Ryle 2008/09
