Towles threw a good game today with 5K's. Rizzo 2-3, 2B, Muench 3-3, 2B, HR (#8), Towles 2-3, Obrien 2B.

I just don't understand? Bellevue, beats arguably the best team in the Ninth, then loses to a good to just average (this year) HHS team and you call it a good effort? Bellevue had a chance Saturday to make a huge statement today to the entire Ninth Region, by beating HHS right after beating CovCath, but now a lot of folks will say the victory for Bellevue against CovCath was just one of those rare games that happen in baseball from time to time. To be thought of as one of the best, you have to take advantage of games and tournaments like these when you can, and this lose against HHS has to hurt Bellevue big time. You just can't let opportunities like yesterday pass without taking advantage of them.

Interestingly the up and down Ryle Raiders really took it to Bellevue the other day.

They used Babb in that game against Silver Grove and lost that game as well.

Bellevue and Highlands will be a rematch in the Districts to see who goes to the 9th region tourney. If its Bellevue, look out 9th Region because they will come to play.

ASk the Highlands players if its in the back of their minds? Im sure the Tiger players are happy as larks that they get to most probably play the Birds for a chance to go to the Tourney.

 

This way there will be no excuses for their invitation to the tournament like in basketball.

I understand it perfectly. Bellevue has been making a statement since Coach Sanders arrived. Their not going to go from being really bad, to winning the region in a couple years. You first have to convince the kids in the program that they can compete. If they don't believe that, then they have nothing. Bellevue isn't going to win the region this year, but unlike years past, they will go into the tournament believeing they can, and that in it's self is a huge statement. This Team is young, I believe they start four or five sophomores. For this group of kids to beat CCH, and HHS in the same season, and then lose a bunch of one run games to better Teams, in which they could of won, yes, they've made a statement. Buy beaing these Teams, and playing some other Teams close will only make these youngsters believe more and more.

 

I don't care who you are, your going to win games you maybe shouldn't, and your going to lose some you should win. OG, as much baseball as you watch, you really can't understand or just don't wanna give credit, where credit is due?
