Nice win for Ryle!!! Carney is heating up and Hoskins has been more than solid at the plate so far early in the season. As we all thought before the season started the 33rd will be a war.

I like Ryle then for sure...I heard he pitched very well his last time out.

Anyone have any idea who is throwing for both teams?

Thanks Coop...anyone who knows me would understand the point I was making with my statement , "it (the rule) sure doesn't seem fair". I would believe the same way if the game went the other way. Even though this particular game only has meaning as a guage, you hate to see two high school team battle it out only to have weather decide the outcome, but of course I wanted Ryle to win!!!!!

I wasn't able to make this one so I couldn't post any comments on this particular game. TOG, what about Cooperstown? He is one of the top posters on this site and he is a Ryle fan. He may not give blow by blow stats, but he has tremendous baseball knowledge and he gives what I feel is unbiased comments on each and every game. As I said before I have a great amount of respect for your baseball knowledge and share your love of high school baseball, but we are both homers and need to keep that in perspective.

TOG, you know I have tons of respect for your baseball knowledge, but I seem to remember a Ryle vs Cov Cath game early last season where you called a hit for one of your players that was hit hard but directly at a Ryle fielder? :idunno:

Interesting...still didn't see one of Ryle's top 3 three arms, except for one batter.

Once again...zero love for Northern Kentucky teams!

Brossart didn't play a perfect game, but when they needed the hits and make plays they did.

I also came away impressed with Brossart...solid hitting at the top half of the line-up, well coached, good hustle. Norton is the real deal, sweet stroke, and his younger brother is impressive at 15. We do however need to keep in mind that they did not see any of Ryle's top four arms. Brossart deserved the win last night and will definitely be in the mix this season.

Good start boys...fun season ahead!
