Final from Park Hills. I didn't attend the game but I heard Gerwe, Schlagbaum, and Shumate pitched for CCH.

Wish I had attended this one.

I'm guessing we now know that Gerwe is #1 in the rotation since he's started both of CCH's games so far.

Sorry for posting so late but took the "Boss" to dinner after the game.

 

It was another Ryle vs CovCath game that was not decided until the last out in the seventh inning and was a one run game. CovCath gave Ryle far too many runs via errors to win this game, but the Colonels kept plugging away and kept it close throughout the contest.

 

BTW what a beautiful afternoon/night for a HS baseball game!

Ryle 1st inning: #2 Longkard get a base hit to open the game, but Carney K's (SSS) swinging 1 out, Hempel goes 1-3 (BS) for the second out, but Hoskins on the first pitch sends it 360 feet over the right center fence for a two run HR, that even with the wind blowing, out was a no doubter HR.

Ryle 1st inning; After the HR by Hoskins, Clarkson gets on via E-3, Truitt works a walk out of Gerwe (BBBSS), Hensley hits a ball to the CovCath SS Stine who muffs it toward the CovCath second baseman Logan Siemer, who throws home to Mattie Klein who does a great job of not only blocking the plate but holding onto the ball as Clarkson tries to score from second. Bang, bang play......for the third out of the game.
