Dixie Heights/ Ryle Predictions

Featured Replies

The #2 in the Region Raiders travel to Dixie Heights Monday to take on the #1 in the Region Colonels. Should be a good #1 vs. #2 game. Any thoughts or predictions on how this game will pan out with Ryle's great hitting and Dixie's stellar pitching?

:dancingpa

Ill take great pitching over great hitting anyday.

Dixie Heights 5

Ryle 2

It all depends who throws... If Donovan pitches for Ryle, I will take the Raiders!

Should be a fun game to watch!

Im expecting either Stansberry or Sexton to throw. I think the Colonels will leave Smallwood for the district game on Tuesday.

I can almost guarantee you'll see Donovan going in this game for Ryle, as he only threw to one batter in the Knochelman tourney and that was Thursday night. I think he holds Dixie to a couple of runs and Ryle wins this one. Should be a great game if the weather cooperates.

Dixie's pitching ERA is about 2.00 even so I think if the Colonels can put up about 4 to 5 runs they should be in good shape.

Well if his ERA is 2.00, why do you feel you'll put up 4 or 5? :sssh:

Same probably applies for whomever Dixie is throwing - I'm sure their ERA is quite low, but Ryle has enough hitting to put up 4 or 5 on most pitchers.

True. This will be a good hard fought game. Should be a pitchers duel.

Time of first pitch?

Time of first pitch?

Somewhere between 5:00 and 5:01 at Dixie's field.

If their concessions are open, you should think about buying me a dog. :p

Ryle is a much better hitting team than any of Dixie's previous opponents this year. I think Dixie's bats will need to be alive if they want to walk away with the W. Should be a good early season match up.

Isn't Ryle averaging somewhere around 9 or 10 runs a a game?

Consider it done, my man.

NCC (11), Brossart (8), CCH (7), Conner (14), St. Henry (7). 5 games, 47 runs, 9.4 runs per game average.

Though they admittedly haven't faced a Smallwood-caliber pitcher yet.

And they will certainly see some tough pitching in the West Jessamine tourney this weekend when they face West Jessamine and Franklin County.
