This may be a little early for this thread but I'd like to see what everyone think's about this rivalry starting back up. Does Charlie have to worry about the score to keep this series going?????? Do you think that Dale will be on the sidelines during this game? How strong are the Bred's this year compared to the last few freshmen team's?

I hope that this a precursor to a renewal of a varsity series between these two schools.

It's about time the bluebirds came out of hiding!!! I expect this to be a close game with the birds pulling it out by a TD. The Fort Thomas kids will enjoy playing against each other again, nothing like a Highlands vs. NC game in my mind. Bring back the rivalry like the good old days of the 70's and part of the eighties. Dale and Bob need to get together and make this happen or wait until Bob retires and hopefully the other coach will want to rekindle the fire!!!

When is the game?

When is the game?

Thrus. Sept. 4 , 6:00, at Highlands.

Does he normally do this!!!! Stir-Stir-Stir!!! I expect to see you up at school tomorrow helping with the plywood stacking at 6:30.

I loved playing against NCC in high school. We were, I believe the last team to play them. After what happened and what the "Duff" said about their QB who was laying on the ground, I don't blame them for not wanting to come back. I remember that game like it was yesterday. I do agree that these kids need to play each other. Half of the New Cath boys are from the Fort. If nothing else, you know it would draw a HUGE crowd and if my NCC sources tell me correctly, they could use a little coin to pitch in toward that major project of getting their own field that doesn't have Wildcats written all over it. If you catch my drift. So, come on Bob. Do it for the school. Ask to split the gate and make it happen.

OH, You know Dale will be on that sideline. If nothing else, just to make sure that their are no shennanigans. After all the things he's been accused of, all the guy does is WIN. Who can fault him for that?

I would have loved to see the freshman play each other the last few years, but I'm afraid this year NCC won't give them much of a game. From what I've heard the skilled positions are pretty good but not enough bigs.

Who are some of the studs on NCC's team? Brady Hightchew I am sure is on the roster.

I would expect the Birds to pull this one out 14-8 is my prediction.

I hear the NCC QB is a pretty good one! Andy Miller, a FTJFL product!

I heard he was close to becoming a Bird too. : (

Should be a fun game for both squads. I cant remember the last time the Birds played the Breds in football at any level?

Prior to the Highlands varsity scrimmage at Male I watched the freshman scrimmage. Highlands has a big kid playing safety that will light you up.

Who are the RB's for the Birds?

Who are the RB's for the Birds?

My son told me that they are Jake True and Ian McGurn. Carter New is the QB for the Birds and a very good one. McGurn he said is a hard hitter as well. They have some nice talent on this team, the question is who will step up and play positions they arent necessarily accustomed to in order to get on the field.

As far as the safety who hits not sure who that would be but my guess is Patrick Towles. He was a very good defensive player last year in the FTJRFL.
