Any stats? How did #5 and Brewer do for Powell?

IMO, doesn't matter what grade you are in, if you can play, you can play. Also, a player should either be good enough to start Varsity or not good enough so he/she starts JV. Most schools use the starting five for JV(as long as they are not seniors) as the 2nd team to come in off the bench. SO a good player that just needs experience, young especially, can start JV and then come in quickly into the Varsity game.

Great for SL. If he is a "Duke " recruit then glad to see him bringing quality to the mountains. I don't think Coach K would like the reactions of the fans if he wants to visit him live at SL. This is good for Sl and bad for everyone else because I am sure the head assisitant Coach Rosco Denny can't wait to get his hands on him as well.

:thumb:I watched Knott in the regional games and the distric finals and just didn't seem up to par to where they should be. I think it was more due to bad games that it was bad coaching. Cox had a bad game or two but had spurts where he proved he was the best player in the region while the 2 guard(whos name just slipped my mind) plays in nothing but spurts and has showed me no consistantcy over the years eventhough at times defenses can't touch him. Good bunch of boys that I could very likely see winning the region and a few more but there are 2 to 4 more teams that aern't that far away. :laugh: ":madman: Hops" are a little more serious from what a doctor told me. "Mad Hops" seem to get worse when players get the symptom of being "wet". I am not for sure if it has anything to do with the humidity in the air but players really enjoy being "wet". I prefer a good clean jersey.

This was one great game. The best I have witnessed since Antwan Barbour went off in the finals and brought them back from 20 down at half. Big shot after big shot made this game.Cngrats to both teams.

IMO between these two teams would be a toss up. Central has the athletic ability to guard Elliott but Elliott knock down shot after shot after shot with tight defense on them. Holmes imo was the best defense team in the tournament and mostly played man. Elliott shoots the three as much and as well as any team I have seen in a while. In one game Ill take Elliott but in a series of 5, I'd take Central due to their size. #15 Patterson for Central I hear is a great football player and as I have watched he is a nice basketball player.

Holmes is tough. Holmes is tho most athletic team that I have seen that actually runs an offense consistently. They are disciplined and fundamentally sound. I really like this team better than any team that has this much athleticism.

Yep, last night held the largest crowd and tonight could very possibly top it. Great games expected tonight, I hope they don't disappoint.

Central down 10 late in the game. Great comeback and some big shots when they were needed. I was rooting for Central for one reason and one reason alone, their dance team. :dancingpa, My favorite team of the tournament.

Exactly, a shot clock will do exactly what its done to the NBA and most college teams........Not Play D---Fence. Run and gun all the time is a strategy and slow paced is a strategy. I love both when its an advantage to my team. No shot clock =defense must be played=Basketball I love to watch.

I like how they run offense. Christian Co. is a good team and matched up against anyone else they probably advance. Good game and Holmes is the real deal.

Holmes isn't a flashy team but the do what it takes to get the job done. I really like the way they play, they are one of the few teams that are so athletic that run an offense as their primary game plan. I love it. Lex Cath. just didn't look like to me the team that Holmes is. Holmes 67 LC 54

Glad to see this mountain team move in even though I enjoy watching them play year i a year out. Good game and great effort by both teams. Shelby is tough and has their hands full next game. I hate to see these two teams face up this round but it may be to the winners' advantage later down the road.

# 5 or Eastern is tough. They just had more horses than Corbin today. Good game and two good teams.

I don't like a shot clock at high school level, kinda what sets it apart to me. These kids don't need to be in any more than a hurry than majority teams already are. Hurts the true strategy of the game at this level, I love holding it as long as you can if that helps your team. A team that is huge can play a 2-3 with a shot clock and just wait for you to miss. That same opposing team can hold it and keep it close and have a chance without a shotclock. I love strategy instead of just trying to outscore the other team.

Hazard didn't score a field goal in the 4th. Hazard looked like the better team through 3 quarters. WJ started fighting back late in the 3rd and never gave momentum back. Good game over all though. Whitaker went cold. Congrats to WJ.

I have never seen WJ so I have no clue, since I am not a Hazard fan I really don't care but Hazard being from the 14th I like a good representation so I like Hazard in this game.

Exactly, this is where you start seeing the difference in teams. A team may last a good 3 quarters but when that fourth kicks in and legs go then that guy on the bench is who becomes MVP. I think the court has a high school three and a college three on it if I am not mistaken.

As long as the coach can't be seen is pretty much the rule.
