AlwaysAScottie Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 When a coach gets ejected from the game what must he then do? (A) Exit the building entirely (B) Go to the locker room © If no locker room is available can that coach go to the lobby or foyer?

Preachit Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 They must leave the court. They may not sit in the stands. They can go to the locker room. They can go to the lobby.
AlwaysAScottie Posted March 13, 2009 Author Posted March 13, 2009 I say B. How many gyms don't have locker rooms? All gyms should have locker rooms. But, a lot of middle school gyms will only have 2 which can cause problems during tournaments. The question I had asked happened during a middle school game thus the confusion. I say C but a buddy of mine says A. Dinner at Columbias during the Sweet 16 rides on this.:dancingpa
BOW YOW Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 A Coach must leave the court immediately. He can go to the locker room and wait until the game is over. He is then ineligible to coach the next game and must not be on the school grounds for the next contest. Middle school games do not fall under KHSAA rules so that would be left up to the game officials of that particular school.
CentreRocks Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 I've got another one. Shot taken at .5 seconds. Clock expires while ball is in air. After clock expires but before ball goes in basket/hits rim/misses basket a foul is committed away from the ball. Is it a foul?

Big Game Player Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 As long as the coach can't be seen is pretty much the rule.
cflannery0001 Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 As to your foul question, I would say a foul is a foul regardless. If you rule that it is not then what is to stop 2 kids from beating the fire out of each other as soon as the buzzer goes off. Hence it would not be a foul so there should be no penalty correct?
110764 Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 I say no because once time expires then the game is over. If it is a legal shot the game doesn't end until the shot ends, so it would be a foul.
