Age has no bearing on whether someone can Coach. Rick Pitino is 59 years old. That is not young. I would consider him a pretty good coach. Roy Williams is 60 I think he can coach. Rodney Woods is 56 I think he coaches okay! Whether you are young or old is irrelevant.

Louisville has played in the Orange Bowl and were 1 play away from playing Ohio State for the National Championship, so they can't be included in your disrespect of the other state schools.

You must be thinking about Danville's field. Boyle County does not have bermuda grass on it.

Boyle County 69 Mercer County 63

The West Jessamine game does not count because Boyle played them in a tournament and tournament games do not count. Boyle has wrapped up the number 1 seed -
Will Elisha Justice Be All He Can Be?
BOW YOW replied to Wireman's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Russell Smith and Preston Knowles are 2 guards. Pitino has already told Justice that he will be the backup point guard to Siva next year. -
Hatz i will give you an old saying that my coach gave me. Its not the X's and O's its the Jimmys and Joes!

Coaches (having to use personal time or) not being allowed...
BOW YOW replied to okie1's topic in KY Football (High School)
" The Old Guy" I have a question for you. Who pays for subs when teachers miss school for professional development? I think the answer is the school system does. Coaches attending the state games go there to learn and not just to watch the games. It would be the same as a technology specialist missing school to go to a computer conference. I think you are way off base with your logic! -
Boyle County/West Jessamine Predictions

Very well put Hatz! I don't like it when people get on here and knock Coach Pardue. The last I checked he has 5 Championship rings and he has been a big part of the success Boyle has established. -
A Coach must leave the court immediately. He can go to the locker room and wait until the game is over. He is then ineligible to coach the next game and must not be on the school grounds for the next contest. Middle school games do not fall under KHSAA rules so that would be left up to the game officials of that particular school.

Who will win the 12th Region?
BOW YOW replied to Big Blue Nation's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Boyle County has been in the regional championship game 2 out of the last 3 years so I disagree with the Lincoln/West statement. If you had said Lincoln/Boyle you would have been correct. -
Lincoln County 61 Garrard County 50

LC PATS be careful watch you wish for! -
4A: Boyle County Rebels (13-0) at Bell County Bobcats (13-0)
BOW YOW replied to Birdsfan's topic in KY Football (High School)
Boyle has alot of quality coaches who have 5 state championships before Coach French came here. It takes more than just a good head coach to win championships; it takes an entire staff of competent coaches. The head coach gets the credit but he is only as good as the people he is surrounded with! -
Boyle County/Lexington Catholic Predictions
BOW YOW replied to titletownclown's topic in KY Football (High School)
Good post...alot of people forget that Boyle the past two years could have easily been 8-3 or 8-4... -
The committee consisted of a former player who played in the sectional, a former college coach, a former coach of a regional championship team, among others. I believe the only restrictions for choosing players involved the two teams in the finals and that was stipulated before the tournament. I have always felt the winner and runner-up team members should be given the awards instead of players from teams that lose in the early rounds.
