Battle of two undefeateds this Friday. Thoughts?

Boyle County showed that they have some weaknesses and they were most definitely exposed against Lexington Catholic. The Rebels will settle down this week and win big but more importantly they will continue to get to where they need to be come playoff time. This could be a good test for the Rebels. Who knows.

BOYLE CO. wins this one going away late.

No disrespect is meant, but there is no way a team that barely beats Garrard County, Madison Southern and East Jessamine comes into Rebel Stadium and gives us a test. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. West Jessamine has done an excellent job this year, but they have squeaked out some close wins against some weak competition. I'll be very surprised if this game doesn't have a running clock halfway through the third quarter.

Boyle by 50+. West is very misleading. As stated earlier barely beating Madison Southern and East Jessamine will not get you ready for Boyle.

PurplePride, you did it again! I wanted to be nice about it but you once again took the words right out of my mouth. I agree 100%! :notworthy:

I have seen Boyle play 6 games (Johnson Central, Rockcastle, Mercer, Danville, Lafayette and Catholic). I have seen West play 2 (Spencer and Garrard). From watching those games I foresee a 35+ point win for Boyle. As we have seen with Catholic, the main way to move the ball on Boyle is with a quick strike passing game and even that can only take you so far. But no one has been able to run on Boyle, not Johnson Central, not Eric Shaw and not Raglin for Catholic. And run is the only thing that West does, they may throw it 3 to 5 times a game. For them to have any chance they will have to display some type of aerial attack because they only run between tackles with their FB Duke Brown or they try sweeps with their wing backs. They lack creativity with their offense imo. Their defense has been a strength so far though only giving up around 9 or 10 points per game. They have faced a couple of good athletes but nothing like Rees or nothing like a diversified offense such as Boyle's. If Boyle comes out flat like they did against Danville or Rockcastle I could see West hanging around for a quarter or so but then Boyle will take over and put the game out of reach by halftime. Off topic a little bit but this West team isn't as good as an undefeated team would suggest but they also aren't as bad as some think. I like many of you think Boyle was a 3 or 4 td better team than Catholic, and I think West could put a scare in Catholic and possibly beat them because of the matchup. If Boyle beats West by 40 plus don't let that fool you into thinking that West can't beat Catholic. Boyle is just a really bad matchup for Boyle b/c their whole offense is run oriented and that just won't happen against this defense.

I wonder the same thing. When Pardue took over things got ugly. Players were dropping like flies for whatever reason it may have been. Some of best players on the team quit. The offensive calling was questionable during that period of time, too. I think that they definitely had the athletes at the time but the coaching was questionable. I'm just glad French took over! :clap:

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that he hasn't. Yeah, if Boyle County can stay consistent then they will have a great chance at taking state.
