I was impressed with Riley. He is a good shooter with great court awareness, but they did have some trouble with turnovers against Christian County's press.

Double Double for Ricardo Johnson. Despite all the hype about Pittman, Rico is the best player for Holmes. He is a Mr. Basketball candidate next year. He's a BCS D1 level recruit. Size, athleticism, skill...just a complete ball player.

I completely agree. Pittman is a fine player, but Ricardo Johnson is "the player" on Holmes. It seems like he does everything for them, bring the ball up, rebound, score, defend, he is a tough player.

For the game, congrats to Holmes. I have seen them play alot better, but this time of the year it is survive and advance.

BTW, Housley's and-one dunk was nasty.

Good to see Holmes scoring some points again. I can't wait to see the Lex. Cath. vs. Holmes game tomorrow, it should be a great one.

Good win, Congrats to Holmes 1 down. 3 to go.

I heard a lot of people were very impressed with Jeremiah as well. He is looking more and more like the next best prospect on that team behind Rico.

He (J.Johnson) played very well also. Riley can really shoot the ball. The other times I have seen Holmes Pittman was more aggressive.

Overall, if Holmes takes care of the ball better, it is their tournament to lose, unless someone just plays lights out against them. They have a really good team.

Also, I think credit should go out to Christian County. Their full court defense was very good, and they had a number of really good shooters. Their are alot of teams in this tournament that I think they could have beaten.

Yeah, Holmes definitely has to limit those careless turnovers and empty possessions. Housely stepping up would be a huge boost if he continues to play that way throughout the tournament. I think Pittman's seven boards and couple of blocks was more important than the lack of scoring output (9). He needs to provide that inside presence for them.

Agreed. Housely really played well.

Also, Pittman's huge block near the end really kinda put the nail in the coffin, IMO.

Congrats to Christian County on a great year. Glad you decided to show up today and make a game of it and didnt quit like some on here said you would!!!
