Panda great pictures once again I think picture # 37 & #42 show how long the night was for the Cru and probably the season in general. Next few years the Cru will bounce back as they were able to get some younger players some playing time. -
31-14 NCC at the half

Wow 43 posts on a St. Henry thread. To the young Mr. Cheatum great year and hopefully your years on the court will help you somewhere continue your education. Good luck to the Crusaders tonight. -

Congrats to the Cru, especially Barnett, Beeghly, Patula, Goetz, the Crusaders 4 seniors way to keep plugging away and making things happen, and to Lloyd for having a good year you guys brought some pride back to the program this year with a good season. -
I could see St. Henry beating Lloyd in the first round of the 34th District and advancing to 9th Region tournament. Despite only 4 wins going into Districts St. Henry got Zach Barnett back recently and some of the younger players have been playing well lately.

Also from what I saw almost as many 3's put up by both teams as there was turnovers. Young Crusader players Best, Dedden, Kuebbing and Meiman give St. Henry hope as they gain varisty experience. -
Holy Cross 81, St. Henry 65: Rob Broering had five 3-pointers for the No. 9 Indians. Darius Meiman scored 15 points for the Crusaders

What would be even better if Zachs, Johns and Jakes dads danced and lip synced to it at half time for the crowd. -

I hope its not a blowout but there is no way you can compare last years team to this St. Henry squad they had way to much depth and talent. Will Zach barnett be able to play tonight? -
The game maybe a blow out and everyone pretty much sees Cov. Cath as the clear cut favorite here. But I saw were tonights game will be sponsoring a Coaches for Cancer night for this game. I think this is great and to all the St. Henry/Cov.Cath coaching staff, its players and their familes who helped with this big event thank you and great job should be mentioned. Hopefully they get a great turnout for a great cause. Here is something on the St. Henry website about tonites event. COACHES vs. CANCER The SHDHS Boys' Basketball program will be hosting a “Coaches vs. Cancer” fundraiser as part of Cancer Awareness on Friday, Jan. 28th, 2011. The Crusaders play Covington Catholic Colonels and the game times are 4:30pm for Freshmen, 6pm for JV & 7:30 for Varsity. In order to raise money for this very worthy cause, our basketball program will be selling T-shirts for $10 each. The T-shirts will go on sale this Thu. 1/13 (or Fri. 1/14), and will be available up until the evening of the Fundraiser. All of the proceeds from the sale of the T-shirts will go to the families of two former NKY High School coaches Clay Eifert of Holy Cross and Matt Boehmer of Beechwood. There will also be a split the pot during the evening, and all of those proceeds will also go to both families

St. Henry @ Ludlow 1/26/11 Predictions
9thregionbb replied to 9thregionbb's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
So if St. Henry takes both games Ludlow and Villa they will play Lloyd for their first game in the districts what happens if they split those two games who would they draw? -
A little St. Henry basketball trivia. From the 97-98 season till the 09-10 season St.Henry has been 199-164 of those 13 seasons only 4 of those seasons have ended with a losing record. This team at 1-12 needs to go 5-2 in their last 7 regular season games to match the 98-99 teams record of 6-14. If they can do that and win one game in the 34th district tourney they can avoid having the worst record of any St. Henry team in the last 14 seasons. Good luck to these young men for the rest of the season.

St. Henry (1-12) - Kuebbing 1 2 4, Patula 1 3 6, Dedden 1 2 4, Wischer 1 3 6, McLaughlin 2 2 6, Goetz 1 2 5, Gripshover 1 0 2, Beeghly 1 1 3, Schwarte 1 0 2. Totals 10 15 38. Newport (6-9) - Pearson 0 0 0, Rice 3 0 6, Covington 4 5 13, Jones 3 5 11, Carter 2 2 7, An. Merrill 7 1 16. Totals 19 13 53. No Darius Meiman in the box score was he hurt or did Newport D shut him down last night? Crusaders have Ludlow next followed by Cov.Cath & New Cath. St. Henry 6 10 8 14 -38 Newport 5 14 11 23 -53 3-point goals: SH-Wischer, Goetz, Patula. N-Carter, An. Merrill.
